Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Santa Maria

When we checked in the first room they gave us was dirty (soap and razor stubble on the shower curtain, pet odor). The woman at the front desk was responsive and gave us a different room which had a strong odor of marijuana. We were able to get a third room which was passably clean although the bath mat had a stain on it. All in all, I won’t be staying here again. $275/night for a dingy room from a national chain. These hotels seem to be getting more and more lax on the cleanliness, especially on the Central Coast. They don’t seem to think you’ll notice or care because the weather and views are nice. Boo!

Staff had trouble checking us in. Took about 25 minutes just to check in. Other than that it was a great stay.

Double hold on our card upon registration. That was over $1400 that we will not have access to until Tuesday. That is at least 4 days.

I loved this hotel. Great amenities very nice staff very clean hotel. I would say the restroom needs a bit remolding done. However, the hotel very clean and well maintained. The breakfast was pretty good, the staff are nice and tidy. I will definitely book here again.

Nice property.

The hotel was spotlessly clean and smelt so nice when you entered the hotel. The lift was cleaned each time I went in it. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I got an offer to clean my room every day and offered a late check out without having to ask. When sitting outside on the balcony it was not possible to get back in due to being locked as the homeless come in the gate but they did help by putting a block in the doorway.

Great stay

The room was tiny and there was no coffee at breakfast either day. They said the machine was down. Management should’ve had that corrected right away. Even the coffee maker in the room didn’t work.

The room was very clean, had enough towels, and was extremely quiet.

The facility is functional and good location. The breakfast could be better.

The property was very clean. The front desk person was very sweet and kind. Parking was a breeze which is always nice. Would definitely stay here again!

Good breakfast buffet and excellent bed

Staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the mattress was maybe the most comfortable mattress I’ve slept in at hotels. Parking was free and super easy to access. Overall, for the price this hotel was wonderful.
