Comfort Inn Santa Monica - West Los Angeles

It is a swell small hotel on SM BLVD. Staff were all very helpful. the Bathroom was BIG.

Good location and way parking. Air conditioner in room was very loud. The bed was extremely hard and squeaked.

The rooms were clean, the pool was great, great location! Elevator is a bit slow!

Great place, close to the pier and multiple amenities nearby. Rooms are good, very helpful staff.

Clean room, reasonable breakfast and plenty parking although there is a fee.

Breakfast included. Coffee, juice, yogurt, eggs, pancake, toast, cereal and mini muffins.

Clean room and property, although room was a bit musty. Complementary breakfast was above average for a hotel. Hotel seemed very safe and secure. Ample parking in the lot. Would stay here again.

Good location - minutes away from UCLA campus. Our room in particular had a faint, musty smell to it - not bad enough to switch rooms though.

Location and the $10 on-site parking are the only reasons to choose Comfort Inn Santa Monica. Unfortunately, the morning breakfast is severely lacking, as they may have had to cut corners with the food options compared to the past or other three star inns. Our room was also on the first floor facing the road and far from the nice lighting advertised in photos by the hotel. Finally, we were unfortunate to arrive at 9pm while the lobby was busy and had to wait about 15 minutes to get fully checked in. The one lobby attendant had difficulty hearing us (reading out phone numbers for each one of us took about two minutes) and answering questions from other hotel guests. I really feel for the hotel lobby attendant, as he was trying his best to help, but he could have saved us tremendous time if he had handed us something to write on or had a better information system. Most hotels and inns only need an ID and credit card and then send you along. This poor attendant needed to ask and type in every guest name, phone number, license plate, etc (depite that I'd done this on expedia already), AND he couldn't hear us well. We would have liked to get into our room much sooner.

My issue was with the room, I got the 215 and it must be the worst room possible. Door has such a gap that you can see to the outside, and it's right next to the elevator, stairs door and rooms door and also it's in front of the road so you also hear the cars, although much less than the rest of the noise. Which means you hear so much noise it's not possible to have a proper reast.
