The Ambrose

Lovely lobby, bar and patio. Good gym, nice location. Access to free bike hire and in-house driver within 3 miles. Happy hour between 5-7 with complimentary beer and wine. Good food on the menu which runs 7am-7pm. No barrister style coffee available - had to go over the road for take away. No laundry room either which would have been really useful.

The room was nice; the downstairs lobby and outdoor sitting areas were exceptionally nice. We were most grateful for the driving experience the hotel offered; and NOELLE was wonderful as a driver. Our room had a very small and limited window, which was a bit of a disappointment, but not a major one.

I always enjoy staying at the Ambrose not only due to the location but because the rooms are always clean, bed is very confortable and the place is always very accomodating in every way.

Great location, clean, friendly and helpful staff. Needed to book this hotel last minute due to an accommodation change and it was easy to find what I needed and book it. No pool

Beautiful stay! About a 10 minute drive to the pier and perfect stay. Came on an anniversary trip and this hotel was the best! Property is super nice. It's a small hotel with only about couple floors. Front desk staff are so sweet and helpful. The lobby is so well taken care of and cute. Outdoor seating with shade and a beautiful bar. Rooms are very clean and comfortable with great lighting in the bathrooms. There is plenty of street parking on and around the block and also parking available at the hotel for a fee. Overall an amazing stay and would absolutely recommend to anyone!

Clean , nice calm location Price

It was beautiful, spacious, and the staff were really wonderful. Food was excellent! The pillows were so thick and hard that I had to remove a pillow case to put it on one of the feather stuffed decorative pillows from the couch. Never have I experienced that before at a hotel. Also, there should be a door to separate the toilet area from the rest of the bathroom, and a fan in the toilet area for odor reasons.

Staff was amazing. Ill stay here next trip back.

The Ambrose is great: nice rooms, great staff, fun happy hour. We ordered some things to eat during happy hour which were yummy. The hotel is across the street from Tartine, which is a fabulous breakfast/lunch place.

Very easy place to stay, loved the front patio layout for hanging out and eating! Lots of places to eat and grocery store nearby, plus a bus line that takes you to the beach.

Car and drivers were phenomenal. Clean hotel, helpful staff. The only thing I didn’t like about this hotel was lack of children’s amenities and that it wasn’t ocean front.

Amazing property, staff and amenities. The rooms were lovely, quiet, immaculate and beds were comfy. Staff was so accommodating and kind. Happy hour was a very nice touch. Can't wait to come back
