Good location, but not sure if you would want to bring your family here due to shared bathrooms and limited cleaning staff and services.

NO AC provided in building. Bathroom is not attached in room. Super suffocated. Not livable

The location of this property was great. The rooms are very small. No air conditioning so the windows need to be open, but that made it very loud at night. The shared bathroom was clean but there are no latches on the shower or door so privacy / safety was a concern. Our room was beside the bathroom so the door banging shut at all hours was rather annoying.

The hotel is wonderful, quiet, walking distance to restaurants, Trader Joe’s and other grocery stores, and in a clean residential area.

A few little annoyances such as a very loud shrieking noise whenever someone opened the hall ladies bathroom door. The tile floor probably wasn’t laid properly and it scrapes, metal to tile, about 2 feet open. There were earplugs provided on the old chest of drawers which alarmed me a little bit but luckily I never had to use them. The neighborhood is quiet residential. The Peruvian restaurant OP Café has really really delicious food. They will give you free ice if you go in and ask for it. All in all not bad for the money. Pretty spare but that’s all right for me and this short five night trip.

Very friendly check in staff I love how close it is to the beach and you have a variety of restaurants and fast to choose from area. Thanks again for the wonderful day.

Trader Joe’s and Rae’s Restaurant within half a mile. Other restaurants close by. Staff is great.

The room did not look like what was advertised, I was not happy but I didn't want to ruin my trip so I just made the best of it...

No frills, but quiet, safe, and affordable. The front office staff was very helpful.

At $166 the room felt very over-priced for what you get but I guess the cost is taking into account location as it's somewhat close to Santa Monica Beach (12 min drive, 1hr + walk). The guy at check in and the other guy at check out were both lovely, friendly and helpful. Bed sheets and room were clean. Room was felt like a fancy jail cell haha. There was a window - blinds the opened up onto a public seating area where I assume people were eating brekky. The shared bathroom has one hook next to the shower door, but doesnt have anywhere to put your stuff when you take a shower. Easiest to go in there with your towel and flip flops only and walk back to your room in your towel (which is a lil awkward of there's fellas in the corridor). At $166 it felt a pretty overpriced. I would've felt better about it paying $100 tops.

People should be aware that the shared bathrooms are not lockable at all. This was not made clear (not lockable) My daughters and wife did not feel safe with this. To make matters worse they would not refund us when we made this clear. Im pretty sure this is in violation of building code.

This is not a hotel. It is more like a hostel, no bathrooms in the room. It is shared bathrooms and showers.

I’ve stayed at Ocean Park Hotel several times and I’ve been delighted at the value for my money each and every time. It’s definitely not for everyone, the shared bathroom situation might be uncomfortable for some travelers, but it’s absolutely worth it to me to save hundreds of dollars at the exchange of having to walk a few extra steps to the bathroom. The staff have always been incredibly nice and pleasant, and I really appreciate the location. The mattresses are definitely a bit uncomfortable. In the past, I’ve also experienced long waits for the showers in the morning. I did not have that experience on this particular trip, but I did find that the bathrooms were intermittently closed for cleaning between 7-9am, which seems like peak shower time.
