Ocean Park Hotel

Good

There are not a lot of places in Santa Monica that offer a private room that are decent and affordable. I liked that there was a sink in the room. No AC! I was there in early October and it was still a little too hot at night. I imagine it would be less tolerable in the summer!

Professional staff, nice area, and convenient parking.

Good location, parking on site. Bed was good. Didn’t have AC in the room. Hot in late september. Property little bit dated, lacks some maintenance.

Good place in los angeles , fine people , they let me stay a little big longer , late check out for free because of my late flight , good experience for the money ......

It's alright, clean place and decent price, nothing crazy tho. Its worth it.

It was clean and nice, easy access from airport. Free parking lot very useful. Bedsheets and the whole room, common bathrooms very clean. Windows very thin so a bit noisy from traffic. Only fan, no ac, so a bit how during the night.

Only the bed Unfortunately, my experience was not what I expected based on the listing. The property felt more like a hostel than a hotel, but this was not clearly stated in the description. I also was not aware that the bathroom was shared and located outside the room. There was a lot of noise inside the property, with people frequently opening and closing doors and making noise in the hallways. The hallway also did not have a pleasant smell. The only positive thing I can say is that the bed was comfortable. However, overall, I was disappointed with the stay and feel that the listing should be much clearer about the shared facilities and the type of property.

More important than even the bathroom situation is that this establishment lacks air conditioning of any kind and that was nowhere in the listing at all, so it was an unpleasant surprise. The room was clean but incredibly hot and stuffy, even with the ineffectual ceiling fan running and the window open. It was very difficult to sleep in this place. The bed was very uncomfortable and the sheets worse. Spotlights were shining at the windows all night long. We also could hear every conversation going on in the whole place inside and out. I would never stay here again.

Good value for money in LA area and compared to other options, comfy beds and nice (shared) bathrooms. Small and a bit crappy room, but clean and safe. There was no AC in the room, only a ceiling fan but did its job.

This hotel was really old and had a common bathroom for ALL the guests. We will never stay there again

Location We had a terrible experience at Ocean Park Hotel. On our last night, before a long day of driving, the smoke alarm started making a loud noise every 25 seconds for no reason, making it impossible to sleep. There was no reception staff available at night. I contacted the hotel to request a refund for that night and provided video evidence, but received no response. Completely ignored. Very disappointing customer service and a lack of respect for guests. Their replies to Google reviews also seem generic and don’t really address guests’ concerns. Complete lack of care for their guests.
