Best Western Royal Palace Inn & Suites

This property sounded very nice: Royal Inn and Suites. Actually, it was a "dump". Old everything. Terrible parking, old noisy smelly rooms, very few outlets in the rooms, etc. I would not recommend at all.

For starters, there's no gym and the pool is very small. But the worst part of all was wi-fi issues throughout our stay (4 nights) and little to no cell service. Imagine kids not having good wi-fi. Some of them couldn't stream or even browse online on their phones and devices. Some rooms had better services than others. The bathrooms were unbelievably small for some strange reason. And in my room, we had an issue with the living room door being faulty. Locked us out 3 times. The hotel knew about this but didn't fix it ahead of our stay for some reason. The walls were also thin and we could hear conversations from the rooms next to us. The pros were nice staff, good location (close to a lot of places), clean rooms and decent breakfast. Overall, wouldn't stay here again nor would I recommend it if you have kids or need reliable internet.

Older building staff was nice not the cleanest. Also make you pay for the privilege of parking at the motel…

Unique layout. Clean and updated rooms with small bathroom. Staff excellent. Parking lot handy but cramped. Outstanding location.

Location was really good, I always look for a place to run and there is a running path just beside the hotel. Felts so good to have a breakfats included.

Only thing I hated about the rooms was its bathrooms. They so so small that there was no space to pass the sink and go to shower. I haven't seen any hotel bathrooms so SMALL. Unbelievable

Overall this place is good, clean

The only issue I had throughout my stay was noise. The walls are very thin and I could hear neighboring guests thumping and bumping around. My room overlooked the street and Sepulveda Blvd is very busy - but the traffic wasn’t as unsettling as hearing the other guests. If noise doesn’t bother you, this is a great place to stay.

Brilliant

Overall, the location is great (right next to the Expo Line, near to Culver City, and near to the beaches on the West Side). However, we were put in a room that was clearly smoked in previously. At first, I didn't think it was going to be a problem, but after spending a few days in the room all of our things smelled like terrible stale cigarette smoke. In hindsight we should have asked for another room. Breakfast was okay, although there were practically no non-dairy options (except sad dry toast or dry cereal). If you have any dietary restrictions, be advised.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Room was small but clean. Definitely an older building and no elevator available.

I like that all my family was able to sleep in a comfortable place and bed.

The location was convenient to many places we went in the area. The staff was great! Parking was tight with a mini van; bathroom was small, cigarette burn mark on blanket

Location is good, convenient parking, staff is nice Air conditioning is in the window, noisy and blows on you, so you can’t sleep.

When we entered the hotel the first day, the front desk staff was not friendly. In the following days, the front desk staff was very polite and professional, he helped us to change to a suitable room for us. Thank you!

I liked that there was a separate living room area with the coffee maker, fridge, and tv. The bathroom was cramped. There was a lot of noise from the top floor (sounded like a party). Parking was awful and dangerous to get in and out of. Breakfast was lacking flavor and variety.
