Ocean Park Inn

For the location, the pricing was great. The staff was very nice, from the front desk to housekeeping. Just know that the rooms are very small, and quite dated. I would have felt better if the toilet seat wasn't so worn through that you could see wood grain rather than paint on much of it. Seriously for $12 it would have made a difference on how clean it felt. The staff came in to work on some water damaged door trim (we didn't cause) and opened it up, so wasn't happy about the black color that was left open while we stayed. I don't know that it was black mold, but definitely looked it. The showers were sometimes not hot. That aside, the place is charming in its own way with a cute courtyard that was used by guests frequently. They do provide ear plugs as it is on a busy street. Parking in the adjoining lot is tight, and mostly we had to park on the street, but they do have cameras on additional spots there. Again, the location is great and for the price there was nothing else even close. Just a few things to be aware of.

Excellent location. Nice front staff. If you prefer a firmer bed, this will be uncomfortable. We had bottom floor so it can be quite noisy with guests above plus street noice, but ear plugs were provided. We requested room cleaning , but all we got was new towels. Uber, Lyft, Waymo abound. Good choice for location and free parking without breaking the bank.

Amir is also delightful. When I need to just rest from the grueling outside world, I love coming to Ocean Park Inn to do so They even fixed the showerhead in there where the pressure came out much better. Hallelujah for the A/C too, which I never use, but it was much needed this time!! So that was great too. Thanks for everything, and I look forward to seeing you all again soon!! The only thing I could add to help is ensure there is enough toilet paper. On our last night we ran out.

The front desk called us when we left something in the room quickly so we had time to turn around and retrieve it

Perfect place

A very good place to stay if you’re looking somewhere close to the beach especially for the price, I enjoyed my stayed. The property was very clean first entering the room and the staff was so friendly and nice. Only thing I would say negative about this place in the parking if you have a big vehicle like a truck or a big SUV. The parking lot they currently have is small and you’ll end up being crammed. 4/5 stars on my end. Definitely coming back here next time in Santa Monica.

I really like my room #, and you were able to accommodate me snd give me same room. When I come to visit, i really need the rest snf relaxation, and your place provides that for me!! Thank you, and look forward to my next visit!! Would like more pressure from the shower. That's sll.

Close to major landmarks I was interested in Too noisy. Road noise too high. All night long.

2. The bathroom is super small and cramped. 3. The air conditioner did not work. 4. But, everything was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Very clean, super cute courtyard. The bed was comfy and the room was big enough. The shower didn’t get super hot and the water pressure wasnt amazing

We stayed two different nights. The first room was near the front of the property and had a lot of traffic noise. The check in process was strange in that there was no one at the front desk for about 20 minutes and we had to wait to check in with a bunch of other folks. It would have helped if they left a note. The second night we stayed was better because the room was at the back of the property, so it was quieter. It was great that there was free parking and the courtyard was nice. It was also nice to have free coffee and water at the front. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. All in all - it was a good property and I would stay there again.
