Bayside Hotel

Kitchen was great to have. The staff was very helpful and friendly!

Santa Monica is not a nice place due to homeless and gangs.

Very conveniently located; clean property and helpful staff. Would highly recommend it.

Room was clean, property was a little warn. Definitely didn’t feel like a $550/night room for small room and 2 double beds. Parking lot was very tight and difficult to get car out in morning.

Nice clean room with a good air conditioner. Parking isn’t guaranteed so we had to park offsite 1 of our 3 nights. They did however remove that days parking charge from our bill.

Chris was great! Location is excellent- right across street from beach and walking/biking trail. Bikes and simple beach equipment available to use. Very walkable to pier and town. Very clean! The only complaint- bed was uncomfortable. That would not stop me from returning though, too many other positives!

The location of the hotel (more like a motel to be honest) is great and that's what you pay for. It was clean and comfortable and secure. Parking facility very handy in this busy town but you have to pay extra for that. Reception staff very busy and not the most welcoming but check out chap very friendly. The very matter of fact reception we received. Definitely could have been friendlier.

It was worth the money

Bayside Hotel is AMAZING!!! In the heart of downtown Santa Monica, CA. Located across the street from the ocean, beach, and a beautiful grassy park. Immaculate room with full kitchen, incredible closet and storage, beach towels and bag, air conditioning, comfortable bed, great interior yard with tables to sit at, exterior tables facing beach/ocean to eat at, play games, read a book. Walk to everything. On site parking for our pickup truck. GREAT front desk managers, super helpful. The gals cleaning the rooms were Clean Goddesses. Hip, Modern, European Feel. Everything you need is at Bayside Hotel-We Will Be Back!! Patti and Scott, Pacific Beach, CA I wish we could have stayed longer...... Had to get back to work. We are planning a trip in November to stay at Bayside Hotel again.

Its literally at the san diego beach side this is the best thing AC stopped working in the middle of night and literally we couldnt sleep all night and literally park in front of it is full of homeless and it doesnt feel safe at all.

Can’t believe I paid $450 to stay at a slight remodeled motel that has seen better days. It was clean enough but not deserving of the 4.8 stars/excellent reviews that it had. It’s on the beach so that’s nice but it smelled like chemical cleaners and was rough around the edges for sure

Everything was great. The staff were absolutely helpful and pointed me and my husband in the right direction for things to see since we are from out of town. We will definitely be back had no issues with anything.

Nice landscaping,comfortable bed, clean with a beach vibe. Good location.

Building felt secure with locked doors at all entrances opened with room key. Have bike rentals. This property is basically a two story older, vintage motel which needs railings painted and has paper thin walls. Rooms on garden are quieter than rooms with ocean view. I was on 2nd floor so I didn’t have to hear people walking on upper floor. I was also there during week days. Only one staff member checking in multiple guests in small office which took a while. No elevator which was hard for me as a senior. Ice is only on ground floor. Parking behind building cost $30/night and is quite small/cramped. Metered parking across from front of motel that is free after 6p. Had small bedside tables with cabinets, but no drawers. (#212). Basic, no frills which was fine for me.

The room was spacious. Had everything we needed and more. I was really bummed that the room wasn’t ready upon check in which I arrived after 3:00 pm. When you pay that much for a hotel room only to stay in it for less than 14 hours. It’s a little annoying.

Clean lovely room so close to the beach, very friendly staff, beach towels are nice and available in each room. Free beach chairs/ umbrellas for guests to grab and enjoy

Clean hotel, we had a sea view room, not much of a view really. Terrible noise from boy racers up and down the main road. Lots of talking outside rooms, unable to sleep until 4am. Very poor value for money. This room cost us more than a room in the Bellagio in Vegas!

Location Comfortable room

Location was great & Robert at the front desk who checked us in was incredibly nice & welcoming! We had a great time! Would definitely recommend this hotel! The fact that free parking wasn't included, but I guess that's the going thing now/ the room was already pretty pricey because we stayed on the weekend & it was an oceanfront room, just was put off we had to pay to park in their private parking lot & that it wasn't included in the price of the room
