All of the staff were extremely professional and capable and beyond that exceptionally friendly which made for a great stay and my whole family wanting to return to this first class hotel.

The staff was great, excellent service. And the location can’t be better

-

This period property was a lovely hotel to stay at for our last night in the USA. Situated right on Santa Monica Beach front with fantastic views out to sea and to the famous Santa Monica Pier. The room (630) was great with every amenity you could want. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the decor was beautiful. The staff were very helpful and genuinely polite.

Location All good

Great location was amazing up until the last day Promised that we could have a shower room on the last day in morning as we were leaving late. When we came back from pool they said there are no rooms available. They offer us a room to shower on if we pay daily rate - Very disappointing

Everything was perfect. Great views from room.

Friendly professional staff, a beautiful coastal view room on the north side viewing the Santa Monica Pier, exceptional pool and oversized hot tub with food/drink service anytime, absolutely delicious avocado salmon toast with poached eggs and fresh juice drinks. Ambiance and upbeat energy in the main lobby with piano playing at night. Beach location doesn’t get any better.
-
Amazing hotel and staff are all so helpful. Great place to stay on the beach in Santa Monica and very convenient to Hollywood, palisades and Malibu
-
The location right on the beach, beautiful room with comfy bed. Staff were very friendly. I think the food pricing at the restaurant was expensive for what it was $40USD for a basic pasta is a bit much.
-
Rooms nicely appointed Restaurant was good but overpriced and poor service

One part that didn’t feel great was the restaurant experience. The front staff wasn’t very welcoming, and when I asked for a dessert menu, I was told it’s a dining restaurant and we’d need to order a full meal to sit there. Otherwise, we could sit in the lobby and order dessert. It came across a bit judgmental and honestly felt rude. Another thing that caught me off guard was the $60 per night resort fee. I didn’t notice it during booking and only realized it at check-in when reading through the amenities. It felt a bit hidden, and I can see how others might miss it and be surprised later. Amenities are nice overall, but many of them require going to their sister property, Shutters on the Beach (like bike rentals or weekend yoga). I personally expected more of these to be available on-site instead of having to go to another hotel. Overall, we had a good stay, but there were a few things here and there that were surprising, and the restaurant interaction definitely left a negative impression.
