Nice location. Comfortable bed. Large room. Lovely bathroom. Very clean. Friendly staff. Beautiful hotel inside. We had some very worn out frayed towels. Had to ask for tea/coffee making facilities. Parking incredibly expensive and parking spaces numerous so can’t see why so expensive as not being used. Worth looking on parking apps for nearby parking.

loved this hotel, love how they are also so dog friendly and the location. Only downfall was pretty sure the valet hit something in our car as there was a dent with we left but couldnt prove anything. I sitll would stay there again .

Nice stay and great location. Room was not made up after first night which was disappointing as only stayed 2 nights.

We really enjoyed our stay at Viceroy Santa Monica. The bedroom was fantastic — very comfortable, beautifully presented and a great place to relax after a day out. The bathroom was also excellent, and overall we slept very comfortably. The main thing that stopped us from giving 9 or 10/10 was the value for money. Given the price of the stay, we felt we didn't get quite as much in return as we expected. There were also a number of additional charges, including $68 for parking and $75 for early check-in, despite the room already being ready when we arrived. We also didn't receive the welcome drink that was included with our stay. These are small things individually, but together they made the overall experience feel a little less good value. We also paid $39.87 for two coffees and two croissants at the hotel bar, which felt particularly expensive. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and the room itself was excellent. The location is fantastic and the hotel has a lot going for it, but at the price point we paid, we expected a little more attention to the small details and better overall value. All the added costs. The pool area was lovely in concept, but unfortunately didn't feel as clean as we'd expected. There were quite a lot of leaves from the surrounding trees on the poolside bedding, which took away from the experience somewhat.

The 43.00 dollar a night surprise charge when checking in for the amenities, not worth it. There were two bikes that you could use for 4 hours, for everyone in the hotel, 2 bikes. We didn’t get to use them. So you are paying for something that isn't really there. The other amenity was beach towels you could ask for to take to the beach. We didn't go to the beach. Another amenity water. You can ask the front desk for a water bottle that they keep behind the front desk. I asked for 2 and they said “i’ll check” as if 2 at one time was too much for my 43 dollars a day. We stayed 3 nights and spent 129.00 for 8 water bottles.

check in staff was unkind and unfriendly. hotel was run down and not nearly as nice as the listing photos. valet guys were nice.

The hotel is conveniently located near the Santa Monica Pier and other attractions.
