I really like the room layout and location.

Indoor pool was nice. Loved out room set up as we stayed in a private suite for six. The carpet had an odor- needs a good deep cleaning. The lights flickered in one of our bathrooms and we were locked out of our hotel room as the locks malfunctioned. My oldest daughter was able to get us in after we called maintenance. The breakfast was limited.

2. While the bathtub included a grab bar, the grab bar is in the wrong place. The bar should be placed on the side where the guest enters the tub.

Clean, friendly environment Everything was great

The situation worsened when my husband attempted to open the shower door. It suddenly came off its track and shattered throughout the bathroom. The second door pinned him against the wall, leaving him with a black eye. He was trapped in the small bathroom, surrounded by broken glass. My son and I dressed his wounds and picked shards of glass out of his feet. To make matters worse, only one employee was on duty. That individual tried to be helpful, but the general manager never came to the hotel, never checked on our family, and has never contacted us to follow up. My husband has written to both the manager and Residence Inn and has received no response.

This place is very dangerous and poorly staffed and managed. So much for the Marriott name Stay away and be safe.

Stayed in a 2 bedroom suite, which is perfect for families. The bedrooms are on the opposite side of the living room. Each room had its own bathroom, which was nice for privacy. Overall, a good size room with plenty of space to stretch out and relax.

Hotel was clean, the staff friendly, and the bed comfortable. Would stay there again.

My family and I enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back the next time we travel to Savannah. The staff was friendly and when we needed extra clean linen, the staff got it right away. Also, the breakfast area was nice and clean and there were good food options to choose from and not just your ordinary waffles, instant grits etc.

The location is nice. Away from alot of traffic and between 15 to 20 minutes from different parts of historic downtown. The weekday staff mainly front of house are very nice, but the weekend staff were not as helpful. Pool and patio are smaller than they look in the pictures. There was only one working treadmill in gym and it was small as well. The elevator was old and rickety. The door to our room had to be forced closed 204. There was a light that wasn't working well in the bathroom that took 3 requests to fix.

To start with we booked the room back in Feb. When we got in the room it was not a king but green. They told us they upgraded us That’s not a upgrade Also counter in kitchen was dirty , electric outlet in bathroom didn’t work also when you would turn light on in bathroom it would blink several times before coming on and the coffee creamer in room had expired 2 months ago. Now as I said we booked in Feb for our May 28 th arrival for 3 nights. This was graduation time for SCAD so finding another place at such a late date was not an option. We should have been told prior to checking in that they couldn’t honed our booking. I am on Dialysis and require certain things. It was later learned they had a fire in some rooms reason we didn’t get King. All this should have been informed to us prior. They just said we could go to another Hotel if we wished. Knowing all along that all hotels were booked because of the graduation. Very poor experience here will never stay at Residence Inn in Savannah again. Also at 12 15 am had to call front desk about someone playing basketball which was right outside our window. Their response was. Is it bothering you. No I just called to chat.

Upon entering the building, it was musty and dark. Our room, a 2 bedroom suite with 2 queen beds and a pull out couch, had remnants of previous tenants (aka trash on the floor, a dead bug by the fire place), the blackout curtain was broken so it couldn't even be shut all the way, the window sills were covered in dust, the door did not latch/unlatch properly, the toilet handle was hanging loosely. The staff on duty showed my husband 2 other rooms which also showed lack of proper cleaning and something in our gut told us not to stay here, so we left with our kids and our stuff and went to another hotel. Trying to work with them to get even a partial refund has been a complete joke. I have been contacting Expedia to try to get more than a $90 compensation but the hotel manager apparently is not being responsive. We shared our pictures with Expedia.

The room was large. And very comfortable

It’s the Residence Inn. Of course it never disappoints

Upon checking in, I was assigned room 112. However, upon entering, I detected a strong odor of marijuana, which necessitated a room change to 119 and it has less strong odor. The entire lobby also had a pervasive odor, suggesting indoor smoking. Furthermore, the provided extra blanket was stained, and the replacement I received last night was damp. During my three-night stay, no room service was provided. The toilet was unclean upon my arrival, and there was no complimentary bottled water in the room, nor were the lobby refrigerators stocked. Overall, this was a highly unsatisfactory experience. I find the $700 charge for these conditions unacceptable, especially considering this is a Marriott brand, yet the quality of service and amenities was more akin to a budget motel.

Comfort , clean and quiet

Very dated / old

Shower and bath tub were nasty. Stains on carpets, chair was ripped, the faucet had torn metal. I was supposed to be there for 5 days and left after 2

Truly shocked at the high ratings. While the staff was all friendly that’s the only good thing about this hotel. For the price I’m just very disappointed. It’s rundown and dirty. I really wish I would have read the google reviews before booking because they are much more accurate. The shower had mold and soap scum. Wall paper was coming off the walls. The couch grossed me out I couldn’t even sit on it, it looked dirty and worn down. We had a reservation for 5 people and were only given 3 towels. The hair dryer didn’t work and there was no conditioner. The toilet ran all night and was really loud. The breakfast was ok, muffins were undercooked and eggs were super watery. They do have waffles which were good. Location was close to a lot of store and not super far from downtown.

The breakfast was better than expected as I was told it would be continental. It wasn't. Meat, eggs, waffles, oatmeal. Really a full breakfast. Staff was friendly. Quiet as well.
