Extended Stay America Suites Chicago Woodfield Mall

It reeked of smoke and the breakfast is just oatmeal/muffins. There's a kitchen in the rooms but no cups/pans

The front desk attendant showed a lack of professionalism when she did not discourage a (likely intoxicated/under-the -influence...one who lacked a shirt) from being in my immediate transaction space and creating awkward and unwelcome relationship-oriented small talk. Upon receiving my room keys, I took the filthy-conditioned elevator to my floor and located my room...it was easy to find because it was the one with a 'seasoned' toilet plunger outside the door in the hallway...this was another red flag. Add to it that the carpet around the bed was DISGUSTING & stained. I DID immediately get a call from the front desk to see if my room was satisfactory...I asked for a pillow or two to supplement/replace the small and pancaked ones there...she said she was sorry and indicated she had no way of getting additional ones. I also learned that there were no hangers for the "closet" area, preventing me from ironing and hanging my clothing...I also found that ONLY had a bar of soap for the shower,..NO SHAMPOO. I was slated to stay two nights, but promptly began my search for another hotel and ended my stay early. GROSS

0/10 – This is the Extended STAY-AWAY Hotel. You'll be glad you never entered this hotel. The only thing it didn't come with was the Bed bugs. I moved to the Extended Stay after leaving another Hotel a few miles away. This hotel was worse than the Dis-Comfort Inn down the street which I rated as 1/10. I heard great things about Extended Stay Hotels. I booked this place expecting a clean room, bed, maybe a functional shower and a breakfast. What I got was a disgusting room that smelled like a dumpster behind a fish market on a hot August afternoon. As I walked up to the hotel, guests(?) were smoking like a chimney outside the door and an obvious homeless person sat outside on the curb (was there all day and night). As i stepped into the elevator, I knew I was in trouble. The vinyl peeling off the floor. I opened the door of the Room and it hadn't even been clean. Went back down to the front desk and she gtave us a different room. My girlfriend would have never entered the room, but I was alone and thought I could tolerate it for a few days There was no carpet. Just a vinyl flooring that was peeling up and full of crumbs and clumps of something and was so sticky and dirty I wouldn't take my shoes off. The room, bathroom and sheets had visible long black hairs (not mine), and a faint yellowish tint that made me wonder if laundry was done in the last decade. There is a lot more to this. I should get a full refund, but Expedia probably wont. CAUTION: STAY AWAY

Air conditioning made a sound the entire night. The furniture was ripped and torn. Had hair in my bathroom. The appliance was rusty and damaged. The bed was okay. Not the best. And the pillows was not comfortable at all. Trying to speak with the receptionist was hard or they were not there. Definitely will not stay hear again.

Room was a bit small but it had all the amenities I needed and the hotel itself was very well maintained. The price of the washing machine and dryer seem so high but I guess that’s normal. I don’t usually use washaterias so I can’t compare the two.

If I could’ve given this hotel NO STARS I would have! It was the nastiest, dirtiest, crack hotel I’ve ever seen. The lobby was so small and smelled so terrible. Staff was just wearing their own hoodies. I should’ve known right away when I saw a homeless man standing outside holding the door open for people dancing and talking to himself! We walked in and went up to the room. I walked in one step and said absolutely not! We’re leaving! It smelled like dog poop. The elevator floor was so dirty. I didn’t even want to step on it. The room had furniture from the Salvation Army from 1970. The beds were so dirty with just a blanket on each one. Do not stay here! I checked in and right back out! It’s like a pay by the hour kind of hotel. It should be closed! ZERO STARS!

The front desk is very nice and communicative and work very well on issues. I am planning to come back and use the service again.:)

Management was amazing and quick to resolve issues

-Dirty wash cloth hanging on shower curtain rod when we checked in -Food wrapper in bathroom -Staff did not take garbage that we left by door while we were staying there which was 3 nights.

We left early because of the roaches in our room. I went to speak with the staff & I was told that “they don’t have roaches” so I recorded the roaches on & behind the stove; I showed them the footage & they apologized. I asked was I gonna be compensated for leaving early & they said no. I asked if they had another room cleaner than the one I was in & they said no. So we had to pack up & find someone else to go!

Is not clean. Water flushing from the toilet. And they tell me we don't have more room. Just clean and you stay there

The Good: The room was big enough and the bathrooms were moderately clean. Kitchen area was clean and seemed well maintained. Bed was comfortable. The location is close to many restaurants and only about 15 mins from the train station (Metra). Plenty of desk space and comfortable chairs. The Bad: There were condom wrappers and articles of clothing under the bed. The A/C worked good, but was loud kicking on and off. I could also hear music on Friday and Saturday night, all night. Seemed to be coming from the parking lot and other room/s on our floor. You could easily hear the conversations in the next room when you turn the TV off. TV was older and small. Ultimately, I have traveled a lot and been in much worse locations. For the price and convenience, I would stay here again. I doubt I would bring my family though.

I asked to see the room before I purchased and room was outdated, smelled of cigarettes, and the linens were stained with hair all on them. Decided just to leave and book a different hotel. This hotel is run down.

All was Fine!

Hotel was dirty. Didn't have an iron. When asked for one, they have me another that didn't work. The door key didn't work. Had to get it programmed 3 times. Saw two roaches. Hallway floors are filthy. However, it's in a nice area.
