Place was very clean. Would stay again.

MainStay Hotel is a GEM ! Actually, what is generally referred to as a "Room" is actually an APARTMENT with one bed-room, kitchen, dining area with a huge table and a drawing hall of sort, with two TVs (1 in Hall, 1 in Bed-room), two closets. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric stoves, a huge microwave oven, toaster, conventional oven, lots of cupboard-space. The area in which the Hotel is located is not very far from the airport (O'Hare: ORD), and has a suburban setting with well-kept, mowed lawns, wide roads. What is noteworthy is that a Target Mall is at stone's throw, one-and-a-half blocks away. There are restaurants in the neighborhood. Actually, I had to check-in at a rather ungodly hour [since my "United" flight got canceled], but the lady at the front desk responded to the phone call instantly. Thankfully, a police vehicle also patrolled the area, which was reassuring. MainStay Hotel is far far more that you asked...supersedes all your expectations. If it were not for Booking.com suggesting me the Hotel at the eleventh hour (aftermath of a canceled flight), I would not have known about this GEM of a HOTEL ! Good housekeeping keeps the Hotel spick and span. All the front-desk employees are courteous, helping and giving clear-cut directions for various neighborhood locations. They do not offer breakfast, but that is not an impediment as Target Mall is just close-by. They have a guest laundromat, but it comes with a high-tech overdrive--- but for its usage, you have to register your credit card, revealing all the details, which could prove risky.

I was at your Schaumburg location for a funeral. My room bathroom sink was clogged and there was only one towel for 2 people. It was disappointing there were no ice machine in your establishment, first hotel I ever stayed at with no ice machine. My room was not at all ideal for 2 people, there were 3 pillows which were too small and flat, I did not rest well at your hotel. I will not be returning.

New property, very clean, larger bathroom, kitchen with refrigerator, microwave and stove.

Property entirely renovated. Looks clean and fresh. Great location. Walk to Woodfield mall.

The room was dirty, and the premises were sketchy. Nearly every surface of the room was sticky or greasy. The sheets had a stain, the bathroom sink was clogged with visible gunk, and housekeeping never came by (after a week). There was also no Wi-Fi or service, contrary to the website description. The premises felt sketchy because the outside doors didn’t lock, and people loitered outside the building and in the hallways. Finally, the younger man with messy hair at the front desk was surprisingly condescending and unhelpful. I actually left halfway through my stay for another hotel. I’ve never written a review for a hotel before, but my experience at Mainstay Suites Schaumburg warranted it.

Great laundry service. Vr straight foprward rooms, useful if just need a basic place to stay. Nice staff, clean hotel.

I thought the size of the room would have been bigger and the sofa sleeper was too small and only 1 pillow

Location Gym equipment isn’t functional, staff refused to clean our room for 3 days when a toilet overflowed and we were forced to clean it ourselves with hotel towels and a plunger we picked up at the front desk, the room smelled like smoke, not all room appliances were in the room when we arrived, the hotel is in general disrepair.

The bed felt ok to my back My toilet flooded and my air didn't work very well

No breakfast. My room smelled like someone had just smoked a full pack of cigarettes even though it was a non-smoking room. Low budget option for sure !
