Holiday Inn Express Scottsdale North by IHG

Bed was great and clean. TV & A/C worked. There was no fire escape plan on the door but the glue was there. There were 2 bottles of shampoo instead of one being conditioner and I have long hair. I had to sign a notice that the desk agent told me there was construction during the day. The elevators in the lobby do not work so I had to walk to one end that I was shown and go up to the 3rd floor. My room was past where the lobby was underneath and the a/c was not working in the hallway. For the price and a clean comfortable bed, I think it’s worth it.

I first arrived to be told my room was given away, that got corrected. Was told under construction, lighting in hall ways was terrible dark, had to put my TPaper on the sink no holder, hot tub jets broke, pool does not look inviting fencing was rusty, no microwave, shower no shelves had to put on floor, breakfast was the worse I had at any of your hotels.. I am requesting a full refund, I had reservations for 4 days I checked out after 1 day!!!

Hotel was under renovation which wasn’t disclosed. There was a Washer and Dryer. Dryer didn’t work after I paid for its use. No USB outlets.

Big alert the property is under renovation, during 8-4 there is a lot of noise. The property was nice place, the staff was very helpful. The breakfast was awesome, eggs, sausage, pancakes, muffin, cereal, yogurt and juices. If it wasn’t for the construction noise it would have received a bigger rating. I was not informed of the construction intill I was there checking in. It would have been nice to know before hand.

This is very nice hotel for the price. Quiet neighborhood with restaurants and few stores within walking distance. This was our second stay there. Very clean newly renovated room. Nice staff and good breakfast. Only three stars for amenities because pool was closed during renovation and that was not disclosed during booking or in confirmation email. Imagine the feeling if you just wanted to spend few days by the pool.

This place has really gone down hill over the last couple years! Thankfully it's being remodeled - better late than never! I will not be staying here again until the remodel is finished. Bathrooms are musty and mildew scented, carpets are disgusting, and walls are way too thin, as you can hear every word spoken in the rooms around you.

The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The hotel is currently under remodeling, so for the moment, things are in upheaval. They will obviously be much better once the remodeling is done. My room was mostly clean, but the floors are definitely aging (hence the remodel). The iron did not work in my room, and there is no coffee maker in the room. The fridge had some very old ice cream sandwiches left in it, so I know it hadn't been cleaned out in some time. They were tucked back on a shelf so someone would have to look closely, but there were a few of them. Breakfast had decent options, and the eggs were warm. The bed was clean and comfortable so it was good for a one night stay.

I had to be changed rooms 3 times do to construction, things weren’t working in rooms and not having my king (reserved) room not available. I will say the staff did all they could and helped at each problem as quick as possible. It just sucked having to go through all of that.

Clean rooms, great Breakfast, great staff what else do you need! Not much! May be back!

Everything was very nice.

Hotel is under renovations. We were informed that there would be no water for a short window of time during our stay. First room we walked into had a very strong smell of sewage. We asked to switch rooms and thankfully the front desk was able to accommodate a new room with no issues. Other than the initial problems, everything eventually worked out well.

The room was nice and clean but repairs and maintenance showed wear.

Breakfast was good and staff were nice and friendly I like how they have unlimited water bottles because I need water And use it for the coffee in the room.

The location is wonderful! Many restaurants within walking distance The property is currently being remodeled … and does need it as it is showing a bit of age…

They were under a renovation so it is hard to keep things pristine but they did their best! Breakfast was the highlight of our stay great omelets and the cinnamon buns were amazing. Great stay can’t wait for return trip next week!

The price was good, the free breakfast had lots of options and was good and the back door to the pool. The back door lock was not working, the fridge kept going out, the phone didn't work and when we called go get assistance, they couldn't get anyone out until the next day (okay, that's fine) but then no one came to fix any of it. Also, the place is under renovations and it really needs it.

It will be great when it’s finished!
