Hilton Garden Inn Secaucus/Meadowlands

Hilton you have to do better. This place has not been renovated since 1980. Everything was worn and severely dated. I was in shock. I was only impressed by the amazing staff. But the place did not feel clean. Again, I was shocked

The suites are all facing the highway and road noise is pretty rough from all of them. It would appear to be better on the non-road side. The Mexican place in the parking lot (10% discount for hotel guests) is quite good albeit expensive definitely worth it.

We came to NY for a fun couple vacation and hoping to have a nice relaxing time in the Hot tub after a long day of walking. But unfortunately the hot tub didn't work 2 days out of the three the first night witch was Thursday night it was hot but no bubbles I reported it to front desk and they said they would fix it next night came witch was Friday hot tub was ice cold and no bubbles so I reported it again to the front desk they promised they would fix it now our last night Saturday it was still cold and no bubbles and a bunch 8! Yr olds where in it when the sign clearly says 14 + ... Rooms were nice breakfast was good that's the only reason it got 2 stars Not sure if we would come back to this locatio

The hotel is very old, noisy, and not well maintained. Although the sheets were clean, they were worn and looked very old. Overall, the hotel needs significant updating and better upkeep.

Love the fact it has a refrigerator and microwave in the room. Cleanliness of the room, should’ve been much more thorough.

Overall, not bad. Property could use some improvement but it’s currently being renovated so hopefully once complete it will be better. Staff extremely pleasant and very friendly.

Exceptional

The receptionist was nice but he really didn’t speak English to understand what I was saying This Hilton was not clean. The carpet was dirty. The furniture was outdated. Thank God the bathroom was clean & bed but the water in the jacuzzi was cloudy. One of the guest had two dogs when I was told pets were not allowed. And breakfast was expensive.

Room smelled like urine, cracked wall noted by bathtub, hotel under construction and parking interesting. Luckily it’s located next to a great Mexican restaurant and the pool/jacuzzi were working but it wasn’t super hot and the pool was semi warm. Overall, not as ideal of a location as I originally thought. Cabs were $50 each way for a 2.5 mile ride.

There were no amenities. They advertised a restaurant and bar and had neither. We arrived late expecting to be able to have dinner in their restaurant and there was none. We were told we could go to the nearby restaurant and get food to go. Very disappointing.

The property itself is gross. The rugs are musty, the tubs are rusted. It’s not a place to spend time with your family it’s good for a quick overnight when you’re not at the hotel type of thing. Our bathroom was dirty with hair all in the shower from someone’s previous shavings and overall an uncleanliness feel. Otherwise the location was great and the staff was so so kind.

Great hotel! Comfortable rooms and nice pool

It was awful start to finish. We got the wrong rooms and they were FILTHY. The room smelled like mildew and mold and the carpet was sticky. Which I didn’t even know was possible. Do not stay here

The staff was excellent
