Sunshine House Bed and Breakfast

Like visiting friends in Alaska! The stay is in their home- but room has own bathroom. Breakfasts outstanding! Lots of pointers on what to see

Great location, you can walk all around the downtown area for restaurants and shopping. Owners are so nice and can provide you with details and tips, each breakfast was outstanding.

Marsha and Mike are wonderful hosts. They are very sweet, kind, and accommodating. They had coffee ready at 5AM at our request. We chose our breakfast time. And, the breakfast is EXCELLENT! They introduced us to foods native to Alaskans that we will not have the opportunity to experience again such as home made smoked salmon, smoked black pepper/salt, pine cone syrup. The room is very comfortable and quiet. The bed is comfortable. Would definitely stay there again if we ever return to Seward, AK. We highly recommend.

Marsha & Mike are so kind, friendly & helpful. : Meeting them & Butch was such a delight ! The Breakfast was very special : The most delicious we ever had (not exaggerating...). The house is simple, yet provides all the necessary amenities and beautifully decorated, and the surroundings are so quaint & pretty. Staying here was an amazing experience. Don't change anything..It's perfect. Thank you for the memories ! hope we can come again...

The property was in an excellent location for exploring historic Seward and every need was supplied by the hosts. There was absolutely nothing negative about our stay.

Great location

Because of the reviews I had read (why I booked this place to begin with!), I had high expectations and they were completely met or exceeded. The location, the accommodations, the hosts and the breakfasts were all wonderful! If you are reading this review and thinking of coming here, you will NOT go wrong staying here! There really wasn't anything we didn't like. O.K. perhaps the weather our 2nd day there...but I don't think Mike or Marsha had anything to do with that, and they even gave us several good ideas for a "Plan B" since our boat excursion was cancelled due to high seas.

Seward was a magical place, and the Sunshine House was a welcome place to come back to after our explorations. The breakfast every morning was at our requested time, unique each day, and more food than we could eat. Mike and Marsha were so kind, friendly, and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Mike, Marsha and their puppy made us feel very comfortable in their home. The company was great, the breakfast outstanding and our room was lovely. Marsha makes beautiful quilts and we loved the homey feeling. We had a great seafood dinner at Ray's and would encourage anyone to consider staying there and exploring Seward. ✨️

Mike and Marsha (and friendly dog Bushie) are most welcoming and informative hosts. Breakfast was outstanding both days. They are excellent chefs and really delight to offer their finest to guests. They easily accommodated my egg allergy, offering egg-free pancakes with a homemade orange/honey glaze, absolutely outstanding. I won't tell you all the great things we ate so as not to spoil the surprise, but seriously, stay here for the breakfast if no other reason! They also cheerfully accommodated our early departure (7:20 am) in order to make our flight in Anchorage.

The hosts were exceptional. They were warm, welcoming and incredibly helpful and kind. ? There wasn’t a central dining table to play cards or sit around to chat and snack. The house is a bit crowded with furniture and knick knacks.

Mike and Marsha were outstanding hosts… they made us feel like we were family and their beautiful home was in a perfect location (walking distance to everything in town). They gave us great tips on places to have dinner as well as things to do around Seward. The best part of our stay was the amazing breakfast they provided each morning! Can’t say enough good things about them and our stay. We plan to stay with them on our next trip to Seward… thanks again Mike and Marsha! There wasn’t anything we didn’t like… perfect stay!

The breakfast was excellent each morning and different each morning. Hosts Mike and Marcia interacted with guests and are very delightful. Highly recommend.

This was the best bed and breakfast experience we have ever had. The owners are inviting, flexible and so kind. The home was clean, and they provided everything we needed and more. Lastly, the breakfast was delicious! We loved our stay at the Sunshine House B&B and highly recommend!
