Quality Inn Smoketown - Lancaster Area

It's still undergoing renovations which I didn't realize when booking & the construction crew had stuff throughout the parking lot. I was afraid I would get a nail/screw in my tire since I found some in different areas...not a cleanly crew at all! Numerous guests smoking throughout the non-smoking areas. Ant infestation on 3rd floor at top of stairwell....no elevator, so ask for 1st floor room if need be. Breakfast is only from 7-9, so no sleeping in or you'll miss it! The room was clean for the most part--floors could use a better scrubbing, and bed was comfy even though I booked a King and was given 2 Queens. The ac was a little noisy, but it was nice to have with the hot temps! I liked that there was a small fridge & microwave in the room. I also liked the LED lighted mirror while getting ready. The pool was a nice relief since it was very hot temps.

We were for 3 nights and it was a very good place, clean and quiet. Staff was very friendly and the Breakfast was good. Pool was clean.

Terrible

The pictures made the property look clean; however, upon arrival our bathroom was not clean and the toilet had hair all over it. We asked for an extra blanket which had old urine stains on it. The actual room did seem somewhat clean.

The pictures definitely made the room seem better than it was. The staff was nice and the rooms were clean, but the quality of their “remodel” was not good at all

Reserved a King room, without explanation or apology was given a room with two double beds. Wasn’t given a WiFi password. Key card did not work well for the room (had to try twice each time). Key card didn’t work at all to get into the lobby/breakfast area from the back of the hotel. Shower in our room did not have good water pressure. Disappointed in our one night stay.

Rooms are super clean! We are glad to found new towels and clean stuff. Very close to the restaurants, malls, dollar tree, etc.

Location was good… that was about the only positive. In room TV never worked during our stay. Hotel Pool was closed for maintenance the whole time we were there….And we were not told of this at check-in. We got in our swimsuits, went down to the pool & it was locked with a sign that said pool closed. We called the front desk & they advised it would closed at least another 2 days. We only picked this hotel because it had a pool! Also, bad in-room water pressure.

I explained to the front desk that the pool was the only reason we chose this hotel and asked for a complimentary cancellation so we could stay elsewhere. My request was refused. My children were extremely disappointed. They had packed all of their swimming gear and were looking forward to using the pool, only to find out it was unavailable. I then submitted a cancellation request through Booking.com. The request was forwarded to the property, but the front desk employee told me he had never received it. This was simply not true. Booking.com later confirmed that the property responded by stating, "Guests in the house already." I have attached a screenshot showing this response. The most disappointing part of this experience was not only arriving to find that a key amenity was unavailable, but also being denied the opportunity to cancel and then being given inaccurate information about the cancellation request. This was a very frustrating and disappointing experience, and I would not have booked this hotel had I known the pool was out of service.

It was clean. The pool was closed. The bathroom was very small.

Everything was very clean, the room was very nice, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the place was very quiet and relaxing.

Could have been cleaner otherwise it was not bad for the price. Breakfast was a continental breakfast with waffle makers and hot coffee. Would have liked an english speaking housekeeper. Could have been cleaner. Front desk staff were very helpful, but housekeeping did not speak a word of english. Would have been better with more cleaning.
