The room was fine but the extreme disrespect of the younger generation staying in the hotel at 2 in the morning towards us and the other travelers were absolutely uncalled for. Screaming obscenities and yelling at 2am and we stepped outside of our room and asked them to please be quiet. And the lady across the room even stepped outside of her room and asked them to be quiet. There needs to be some type of security or something other than calling the front desk at the bottom of the hill. I know there are signs about peace time after 1130pm but these were drunk kids who couldn’t even stand up. Not to mention the smell of weed throughout the 4th floor where we were staying. This is our 3rd year in a row staying at Highland House.

I received NO INSTRUCTIONS on how or where to check in. I did a virtual check in, which supposedly gives you this Bluetooth connection to unlock your room door. This worked 25% of the time. It once took me 30 minutes to get into my room because it “could not locate the room.” That’s unacceptable. Finally, went to the other side of the village and was told by someone I could get a normal hotel key card from the service desk. That would have been great to know from the beginning. It didn’t even tell me my room number. I had to figure that out too. Icing on the cake, drum roll please. NO HOT WATER. Yep. Had to take an ice cold shower on my birthday because the hot water was not working. So I could barely get into my room, and on top of that, couldn’t even provide basic necessities. I paid $550+ to stay here for two nights, received no instructions, could barely access my room, and had no hot water the first night. Stay somewhere else, they can’t even get the basics right. Only reason it’s not 1 star is because the view from the balcony was nice, easy access to the village/slopes, and staff was nice.

The trip was to take a ride on the train in Cass . We were there to enjoy a pleasant time with expected accommodations to be appropriate (clean, comfortable and accessible) None of which were available or a person to express our disappointment. We left a day early because of the conditions.

The condo itself was lovely. Very clean, comfortable blankets and pillows. We appreciated how nice it was. The issue is that we showed up at 9 o’clock on Friday night and there were no signs, no information on how we were supposed to check in. I ended up wandering the village and I found another couple who told me they had the same experience and let me know where to go. If you’re going to rent out rooms at hotels.com, you need to give better information on what to do when you arrive.

Excellent experience even in the midst of a large, crowded event!

Nice staff

Nice place overall. Carpet could be replaced, kitchen sink drains slow, small microwave over sink not operating.
-
One of the best mountain/ slopes views, right in the Snowshoe village, steps from everywhere, even the shuttle. Cozy apartment, with everything you need.
-
Property was clean and offered extras such as loaded up kitchen cabinets and silverware. It really did have everything you need. Nothing

Overall, very nice...we will be back and stay in the Highland House.

convenient location right in the heart of the village, very well equipped and upgraded kitchen and room. very roomy and large balcony with a great view of the slopes. it was very clean as well. decent water pressure. right by the snow blowers…VERY noisy at night - sleeping was a challenge. both beds were pretty uncomfortable and not very sturdy. the toaster doesn’t work properly and we had a heck of a time (the third store we tried off mountain had some) finding coffee filters. we brought our own keurig supplies but couldn’t use them. bathtub in second bedroom was extremely slow to drain.

The location was terrific. The space worked out so nicely for our family that gathered for a wedding. It was really nice to have 3 full floors. Some folks could relax while others had coffee together or got ready to leave for our events. The pillows were so flat I could hardly sleep, I did find one that was alright. Next time I will bring my own pillow. The half-bathroom was so small you could not close the door until you were completely inside.
