Holiday Inn Boston - Cambridge Area by IHG

The hospitality is always on cue; quick responses from service representatives with a professional tone. The room was very clean as always. The drawers in room 200 would not stay closed causing an inconvenience especially for my children. Only one of the elevators worked. A huge concern is that the elevator does not have an automatic stop. We witnesses 2 other customers having to pull their limbs out.

Random items were left behind from the guest before and lastly, I accidentally booked with the book now pay later feature and forgot to cancel when arriving at the property i explained that id like to cancel the booking and they insisted that i would have to stay for the day and then receive a refund for the remianing days since i checked in.. it was 10 am, well before the check in and check out times and because i realzied i was at the wrong property while at the check in desk, they made it seem as if they couldnt undo the check in so this cost me $500 for a night in a room that was poorly cleaned - i understand the confusion was on my end but i think i still should have been able to cancel even if i was in the process of checking in

Breakfast was good. Most staff were friendly and helpful. Had to change room because one bed was broken. Pool was closed because due to "unforeseen circumstance". It did reopen the next morning. We were not told that children under 11 ate for free in the hotel restaurant until after we had gone out to eat. I even asked about options at the front desk. Thought they would have shared that information with us since we had children with us.

Stay was average - pool hours are not great.

Good location close to orange line train, staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and had plenty of space and toiletries were good. Coffee in reception and coffee machine in room. All good, just the price which was obviously increased due to the football, it was high and not even having breakfast included at that price was a lot.

I have no complaints. A convenient hotel within a 10 minute walk from the orange line!

Staff assisted with use of laundry with own credit card. Staff very helpful When traveling from overseas wld lv a coin operated laundry or able to charge to room. THE APP declined our credit cards and address

When I returned to my room at night on May 29, the door was half open. Maybe the room cleaning staff forgot to close the door. Moreover the TV doesn't work (audio is ok, but no video)

We ended up losing all of our getting ready time because the waiter at the resurant in the hotel wasnt efficient at taking multiple orders and delivering them in a timely fashion. Our food was wrong and many others around us was too. It also took an hour. I was not even able to eat as our ride had arrived by the time out food did. We wanted to swim but it seemed more towards kids and we just had no time. In the morning we ate breakfast it was good and then we left. Otherwise all else was good.

The staff was very friendly, and they made check-in and check-out a breeze. Parking was easy as well. Rooms were super clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel is great if you want proximity to Boston without being central to the city.

For the first time in our last three visits nothing major was wrong with our room. Check-in was another matter. Check-in time is 4:00, but our room was not ready until 5:30. On the other hand, when I asked the very nice desk attendant whether nicely putting up with the delay would entitle us to free breakfast he agreed, and gave my wife and me free breakfast coupons for both nights we were there. We will no doubt be there again.
