phenomenal location—convenient & close to everything!! very clean room! I was initially worried about noise, but it was quiet and we got a great night’s sleep! the gathering areas were well-kept and a lot of fun—people of all ages havin fun :) the next morning, we had an amazing breakfast on site; we enjoyed some fantastic coffee near a firepit. perfect start to the day!! the front desk staff was incredible! they took great care of us as soon as we reserved our room—lots of helpful texts back & forth! we will absolutely stay at Basecamp again!!

Great location near restaurants and shops. We liked the no housekeeping policy during your stay…daily house keeping is dated and waste of resources. Ours was 3 nights stay. It was easy to get more coffee and replace bath mat. Liked lobby area and good pour over coffee in the room. Didn’t get a chance to try food. Walls are thin so if you are super sensitive, be mindful of that fact. Overall, great stay for us.

Easy check in process, great amenities on site and perfect location in South Lake in proximity to most attractions in the area. A little TLC could be used on a few things, but overall a great hotel and stay.

Could be a little cleaner

Great location! Very friendly staff and great to have both breakfast and lunch, dinner options on site.
-
The patio was a a plus as well and music in the yard in the evenings.
-
Cameron the front at the front desk was the most helpful during check in very efficient and provided us with the best possible service we could ask for.
-
We loved the balcony and s’mores in the evening. The shower is a tight squeeze and hard to clean kids since it’s not adjustable
-
The room was basic. The staff was helpful, and kind. The star of the show was the live music and cornhole. It was a nice more slow version of what’s happening on the main strip

There is no place to take ur dogs for potty time. Across the street has broken glass and garbage no grass anywhere Also u can't use the TV unless u sign into an app

Basecamp South is really a good basecamp for you to support your South Tahoe visit from. It is just next to the Stateline, and a short walk away from the main Lake Tahoe Blvd. Is it like a stay at Aria Las Vegas? No. It is a cozy base with a comfortable bed to wake up at to start your adventure and come back to after a long day. It is well appointed with the necessary amenities in the room, has a tasty cafe to grab delicious bites, and a beer garden if you are so inclined. If you want resort like experience, there are many options on the Blvd. But if you want something cozy after an exciting day, make Basecamp South your basecamp!

The bed and sheets where comfortable. No pool and it was hot on our visit. When we needed towels I was told I needed to go to the front desk to go get them because there was not enough staff to bring them up to the room. I feel like the room could have been more updated for the cost that I paid

Such a great place to stay! Fun and lots of entertainment. The beach vouchers were a great bonus

Great service. Cute room. Central location. Private beach access included!! Downside was no air conditioning and they put us in a room with no view at all. Our only window was into their parking lot.

On the positive side, the staff was great. Very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and artfully decorated. The negatives: The AC is not usable while sleeping, as it is extremely loud. The breakfast food is mediocre at best and is not included in the room price, and both days that I was there I had to wait a long time for it to be ready. My room had no dresser or chest of drawers, which I had never experienced in an American motel. This is supposed to be a three star motel, but even every two star place that I have stayed in had at least a couple of drawers for clothing.

The location was great for access to casinos if you are so inclined. Not sure how far away the access was to the lake. Parking could be problematic as well. Make sure that the size of the room conforms to your expetation.

We had a great stay here for one night when celebrating a special occasion up in Tahoe. The hotel is clean, the room is basic but modern and was sufficient for a 1 night stay and the price was great for the last minute gateway. Hotel has free parking which was also a plus. We had a single queen room which is not huge but comfortable enough. The bed was a little bit on the soft side but the bedding was nice and the room was clean. No complaints for the bathroom either except maybe there could be something in the shower to put down the toiletries. We loved the beer garden, live music and the corn hole game. Breakfast cafe in the lobby was a HUGE plus for us and the coffee was great. Location is very central to the casinos and a great little beach just a block down. The Landing was a fantastic choice for dinner and is within walking distance away from the hotel. Overall we'd stay again in a heartbeat.
