Blue jay lodge is close to all of South Lake tahoes big areas, but still on a quiet strip. They do give you tickets for $5 off if you want to go to the private beach which is 3 min drive. We enjoyed our stay. There was a few cons: 1) there is no attendant there so everything is done online including room key and we kept getting messages (about 4-5) over our 1 night stay. 2) rooms walls are extremely thin. We could hear every conversation of couple next door, just as a warning. 3) check in is at 4pm, but check out was before 11am. If it was 3pm check in and 12pm check out, it would be much much better. It’s just too late to check in and early to check out. Overall, it was a good stay but if those things were improved, it would be even better

The room was okay. The curtain rod came apart and we couldn't reach it to fix it. The internet was down the 3 nights we were there. Parking was close but okay. I probably wouldn't go back there, when there are so many other options in the area.

The room/bathroom was very clean and well maintained. The bed was comfortable which is very important to us. In fact the bed was a too comfortable because my wife refused to get out of bed to go check out the night life with me. Minus one star for that. The ice machine works very well for our trip to the lake. All in all we really enjoyed our stay at the Blue Jay Lodge.

The room was very clean and amenities were nice, however the sink was very odd. It left no room on the counter to put your make-up on the counter or lean in towards the mirror to apply your makeup because the sink was so large and in the way. Our one beside lamp did not work also. (Room 13) The views of the mountains were spectacular to wake up to!

love everything about this hotel very roomy as well but the floor needs to be mop our feet was soo dark within 30mins walkimg around inside the room ...so i would say bring a slipper if u dont want to get your feet dark and dirty

The property is very close to everything! Room is clean and the online/ message communication was very helpful and prompt. They addressed all concerns especially when the digital door lock for our room stopped to work. Site staff was there and fixed the problem.

What I did not like the bathroom did not have enough room between the toilet seat and the wall TV you cannot adjust the volume with the air conditioner running, which was very loud and the TV you cannot adjust the volume could not adjust volume on TV. 😡

The barbecue area with the pool is great. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Nice restroom and spacious closet. Recommend.

The location is perfect, we can walk to the shops and restaurants. The hotel is pet friendly and they have a goodie bag waiting for your fur baby. They also have a fire pit by the pool if you wanted to stay warm and chill.

The place doesn't look like much but the rooms were very nice. I never met the staff as everything was done remotely. There was no elevator and we had a room on the second floor and a had a lot of luggage. That definitely sucked.

The room was very nice and roomy, the king size bed was perfect, very comfortable. Unfortunately the location of the room was right next to the laundry room so all you heard all day/night was the slamming of that door… The a/c worked great but the heater did not work, fortunately we had a fireplace that kept us plenty warm. Also no internet so we couldn’t really watch tv.. But the staff was super friendly and always ready to help.

Clean updated room. I was a little skeptical given the condition of the outside but I believe that Is a work in progress. The inside of the rooms were great. Great shades to keep the light out too. Thanks for a comfortable place to lay my head for a few nights
