This place was a huge disappointment! Never in my life has the room keys been so sensitive by being deactivated by any source of electronic such as a cell phone, apple watch or tv. I had to have my keys reset at least 3 to 4 times and was nearly locked out of my room over night because the hotel has no night clerk after 11pm. So you have to be back before then in order to make sure you can have normal access to your room. This place is a NO GO!! I had to wait for a security guard to come all the way from North Lake Tahoe to access a lock box and get a master key to let me in. I was not able to get into my room until after 1am because I chose to come back to my room at 11:30pm. I do appreciate that they comped me 1 night but I will never go back. Oh and there were no phones in the room to contact the front desk.

When I booked it was a Holiday Inn but was rebranded as Himark shortly before travel. Complimentary breakfast was ok. For the number of guests dining wouldn’t say things were replenished as they should. The property is dated and slated for major renovations. The doors are outside like a motel. Only one laundry area for the whole property, but was always available when we needed. Walkable to downtown & casino areas. The property is not well lit at all. It appeared like they had some lights intentionally turned off near parking and pool.

Get to see alot of bears and the pool an Jacuzzi is great time out the room! Bathroom was roomy!

The breakfast was alright, nothing fancy just the basic stuff but had a little bit of everything and my parents enjoyed unlimited coffee all day at the office. Our check in person was very friendly and nice. It was an easy check in and he gave all the info about breakfast and pool etc. Had an up close experience with a bear which I thought was super cool. The only thing tha I had issue with was the dirty carpets which are in need of shampooing. Also we were told the house keeping is after 3 nights on the 4th day which didn’t meet our criteria. The neighbors up the floor were very little jumpy and disturbing but in their defense they have little kids so we had to be patient.

I booked a Holiday Inn last Oct., didn’t know it changed hands. Room was not as expected, no maid service for our stay. Slightly disappointed.

Location is great. Staff was nice. Free breakfast was good foe our family. Seeing a bear at the hotel was interesting. Rooms and buildings are in need of updating. Outside areas seemed a bit dirty.

Got locked out of our room at midnight had to wait an hour to get let in!

Everything about our stay was excellent. The hotel was very clean, well-maintained, and welcoming. Our room was spacious, and the two king-size beds were incredibly comfortable, giving us a great night’s sleep. The location was perfect—close to restaurants, Target, grocery stores, and other shops, making everything very convenient. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and always willing to help. Overall, the hotel exceeded our expectations, and we had a wonderful and relaxing stay. The only downside was the Wi-Fi, which was slow and unreliable at times. It would also be great if the hotel offered Netflix or other streaming services on the TV. Adding those entertainment options would make the guest experience even better and truly take the stay to the next level.

Very good walkable location if you’re visiting the Heavenly Village shops, restaurants and the mountain gondola. The breakfast buffet was pretty standard but a bit less than hotels like Hampton Inn offer. Rooms are somewhat dated but still nice and comfortable. And here’s an interesting situation: a wild bear wondered through the parking lot one evening and got into several hotel garbage cans. Staff was out in the morning to clean up but several of us hotel guest felt that management should be more proactive about installing bear-proof trash cans to prevent this from happening again. This is, after all, bear country. Ultimately bears usually end up getting shot in these kind of situations and if management would act now perhaps this bear will live long and prosper.

I loved this place!! The room was huge and so clean. The staff was so friendly. I love how quiet it was at night.

Breakfasts had many different options and were filling. The hotel was located in the middle of everything - stores, restaurants, and other points of interest. No telephone in the room to contact staff if needed. If the suite had an additional half-bathroom, it would have been better.
