We went for the 4th of July fireworks and the tickets giving us access to the private beach was very nice. It was busy but we were able to find a spot and watch the fireworks. Check out was also easy. The coffee from their little coffee shop at reception wasnt bad either. Only downside, since it was a busy holiday, they were fully booked so parking wasnt easy. We charged and then had to park on one side of the property in the dirt and then walk to our room at the other end of the property. Location of the hotel is very close to stateline and has plenty of food options near by.

Only improvement is reception and bar/food area are one and can be very busy at times.

Breakfast was great, the bagel sandwich, and coffee got me on the way. Very close to edgewood as well.

Great location and cozy hotel!

The neighborhood was a bit ghetto or rowdy with lots of college kids filling up the nearby budget motels right before Fourth of July. The room was a bit too dim and needs better lighting. And the toilet seat was heated but oddly not well attached to the toilet.
-
Very disappointing stay. The room was old and in need of renovation. The pool and hot tub were extremely dirty, which made them unusable. Cleanliness was far below expectations, and I would not recommend this hotel.

Well located and pet friendly

They have a welcoming public space, great to meet nice friends. Staffs are nice and friendly.

Loved this spot. Location was everything. Super family friendly and amenities were great. Will return.

Very nice
-
Pretty close to the lake with free passes, some more’s set up at night & bar, walkable to the casinos. No elevator, rough stairs, small room, rug corner was folded over and tripped on it, coffee pot had to plug in by the bathroom sink or in the room, pillows are too squishy.

Cute, hipster, friendly, social hotel. The on-site bar, free coffee in the morning, s’mores at night and pool/ hot tub were a huge plus. Made it easy to set out and explore for the day, and great atmosphere to return to after enjoying a hiking or beach time. Fridge didn’t work.

The hair dryer was broken in our room, I tried calling the number on the facilities card twice and no one picked up. I walked over to the reception at 10pm and they were closing the bar area, but the staff was nice and opened the doors for me, and said they’ll send some over to my room. Unfortunately the hair dryer never arrived and I feel like I’ve tried everything I can, so I just gave up The pool was pretty small just fyi, it’s not for laps

The boys enjoyed the smores’ treat. Bummed the hot tub was not working but still had to pay the “resort fee”. Good location, 10 min walk to Target, Starbucks and plenty of restaurants.
-
Safety was compromised because door was unlocked and open when I arrived at my room. Cleanliness was questionable.. the bathroom was dirty and the shower curtain had a musty smell. The only good thing was the free smores at night for the family and walkable lake access. I wouldn’t stay again.

The place is for skiers more than anything else. Very spartan rooms, but if you’re going for the skiing, then it should tick all your boxes.
-
The staff was wonderful. The amenities were very good but maybe just the room we got was not the best location in the property. The room was on the ground floor with some noise coming from property maintenance early in the morning.

Without a doubt one of the coziest hotels we’ve ever stayed at! From the moment we arrived, everything felt warm, stylish, and welcoming. The atmosphere is incredibly relaxing, the rooms are beautiful and comfortable, and every detail has been thoughtfully designed. The location is perfect—just a short walk to the lake and Heavenly Village. The staff were outstanding: genuinely friendly, attentive, and always happy to help. We absolutely loved our stay and would choose The Coachman Hotel again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!

The location A little hard to find

Great location and the staff were awesome, late check-in was totally fine and they surprised my dog with a welcome treat. Soundproofing was pretty poor. Reception did provide earplugs, but if you're a light sleeper, this might not be the place for you.
