Clarion Inn Southern Pines - Pinehurst

needs updating

First things first i had to pay an extra 26 as soon as I got to the propoerty, then the owner tried to kick me out a day early if i didnt gi e her $50. I come to S. Pines a few times a year to see family. When this property was the Days Inn I usually stayed there because they have a big pool with an actual deep end so I can take my kids, nieces and nephews swimming. Well after being at the property for 3 days I brought them over to come swim. After all that is why a lot of out of towers get hotels with pools. After about 30 min of the kids being in the pool (they werent being rowdy or loud) the owner comes and tells them she's going to call the police if they don't get out of the pool, that it's not a public pool. I was at the store buying pool stuffs but my 21 year old son was there with them. None the less she had the audacity to tell me my family couldn't swim in the pool because they weren't registered guests that only me and my son could swim. There was no body else in the pool at the time mind you and it was my nephews birthday. I told them to continue to swim and she actually called the police on small children swimming in the pool with supervision who

Good location to downtown Southern Pines. Pet friendly but bring your own bags. Good breakfast. Great and friendly staff. Physically needs updating. Nice pool.

Had an amazing stay in recently broke my ankle and really enjoyed the room with the roll in shower.

My issue was there was 2 bugs in the bathroom I only rented that hotel because the pool was supposed to be open and I did call prior even though it said that it was open on the when I booked it, they said to me they got to get it inspected, it should be open tomorrow. I was there for 8 days, not 1 day. Was it open if I would have known that for the money I spent I couldn'.\nT have a nice hotel with a pool that was open And only ate breakfast. One time, which I didn't eat, they need to update and get with modern times because frozen patties and fake eggs are not on the menu, I can't eat nuts. The only thing they had for dessert was a banana nut muffin, so there was no dessert to take the coffee there was no milk use creamers. I like regular milk. They had a container that 4 milk, but it smelled bad.So I couldn't even have a bowl of cereal.Yeah , no good

Returning customer due good value with hot breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. Available indian resturant was excellent.

Specifically, several roaches in the sink and around the toilet every day, enough to know the roach problem was more than a few insects getting into the room. Even if room(s) were treated as needed, roaches move into walls and other rooms temporarily, so I would not return to this hotel unless they communicated a comprehensive approach to fixing the underlying problem(s) that bring roach infestations.

Staff was great, considering i arrived at 1AM. Toilet in my room kept running. Flapper needs replaced. Bugs in the bathroom.

Everything was as it should be. The room was clean and the staff was helpful. The stay was very affordable.

I loved the kindness of the staff. I didn’t like how it was a big pee stain in the toilet, no toilet paper, no charging outlets near the bed and thin bed sheets with stains on it.
