The Comfort Suites At WestGate Mall recently underwent a complete hotel renovation in 2022, including all rooms and public areas. The hotel is five miles from the University of South Carolina Upstate. It was near the mall we were on the first floor by the outside door and I could smell pot and cigarette smoke. With I despise.

The room was clean, but the lighting was harsh. The main issue I had was that the staff was not at all welcoming and seemed bothered by the fact we were there. We didn’t have breakfast the first morning, but the 2nd morning, my husband went to get us coffee and noticed that biscuits were put out, so he took two to bring back to the room. He was told by the staff that breakfast wasn’t officially open and to put them back.

There were a few things wrong with my parents room when they checked in. They brought it to the staff’s attention, and only a few things got taken care of.

Location is good with friendly staff. Eating area needs more attention to cleanliness. Bathroom needed updating as well as the seats in the eating area.

Stayed for one night opened up the couch for bed and it was covered in very dirty.covered in stains that looked like someone urinated on it and closed it up.staff would not move us an and said housekeeping would be there in the morning .I guess to clean a peed couch.we were leaving at 11am and all of us slept on a king bed thanks to the great customer service and cleaning service.never again will we stay there

As soon as we walked in there was two big brown stains on the carpet, bathroom could it used a better cleaning, my fiance picked up one of the bathroom towel and a big spider came out of it. We got there at 1:00 am, were so tired that we just climbed in bed got up and left at 6:00 am didn’t wanna use the shower, didn’t feel comfortable using it.

The walls are thin I guess. I could hear my neighbors tv and them talking loudly. It kept me awake most of the night.
