The Comfort Suites At WestGate Mall recently underwent a complete hotel renovation in 2022, including all rooms and public areas. The hotel is five miles from the University of South Carolina Upstate. We were traveling through with our family and needed to break up our trip. It was clean, spacious and kids loved the pool.

Room wasn’t ready at check in. Housekeeping was definitely the issue with this. The front desk was very apologetic but it seemed there was no rush for housekeeping to get the rooms ready. There were no vacancies the night we stayed so I understand the business. The front desk eluded to this in our conversation. The hallways were rather warm but the room was cool. It was a good stay close to all the restaurants. It did the job. The breakfast was also filling, with nice options.

Stay was average. There was a roach in the unit, which left a bad experience.

The sink was not good. Drainage was slow kept locking outside of our room. We didn’t have proper keys. The Wi-Fi kept going in and out. The state was terrible.

We had a nice stay, rooms were clean and spacious. Staff was friendly and breakfast was good. Only negative was location, there was 2 houses behind us that had dogs and they would bark really early in the morning.

Our room was very big. The couch bed needed more cushion

Location The comforter was dirty. The desk chair was ripped in several places. When the cleaning people came into clean all they did was give us new towels & toilet paper. They did not empty trash cans. We purposely left the dirty side of the comforter showing but all they did was pull it up.

Family trip for a memorial service. The room was clean and comfortable but the toilet was pretty close to the floor so it wasn’t too comfortable to use. The breakfast was good and multiple choices. Overall good stay.

They did not fill the conditioner up in the show the whole time we where there . Was empty.Also there was a toad stool growing in the hall of the building you think when they swept someone would remove that. I understand they have dampness in buildings but that should not be there for people to see.

The front desk people was amazing and very helpful as we was there for a fashion show during our stay. Cleaning staff was friendly as well.

Staff was absolutely amazing, room was very nice and clean, we did have one issue with the air conditioner and they had it fixed very quickly. Pool is kinda small but still very nice and never was crowded.

Breakfast was good. I don't remember if gravy was an option but that would be good to add. We only stayed on night we didn't spend that much time inside room.
