The guy at the front desk provided some good options for dinner and drinks and also options where we could get a hotel discount! the beds were comfy! we chose the premium queen option, will stay again !

Won't stay there again, although needs were very comfortable! Parking is horrible

Very clean and comfortable, good food next door for breakfast Parking is $7, and a little bit of a hassle if you don't get there early. This is a motel not a hotel.

The person with long red hair who checked us in was very nice The room was disgusting, this place has really gone downhill in the last year or two. We left within 2 hours of checking in because we felt dirty even sitting on the bed. A waste of $110. Ended up hopping back in the car and driving all the way back home in the dark. The box spring cover looked like it hadn’t been washed in who knows how long, when I pulled the fabric to check for bugs there was an accumulation of dirt/hair/pieces of food and other gross things within a foot of where our heads were going to be if we slept there. I didn’t bother to check the bed any further because that’s all I needed to see, the lamp was gross and very dusty which tells me things don’t get routinely wiped down before guests, the floor looked like it had water damage around the bathroom, the stairs make me feel like they’re going to fall because they don’t feel level, the balcony walkway feels like it’s leaning, and the parking lot is very crowded and hard to maneuver. I think I’d rather sleep in my car. The only pleasant experience was the nice person who checked us in (with long red hair)

Breakfast was included, it was okay, not very good or much options. No parking available at the place. They charge extra for some addons even if we dont need them. Rooms are not clean, wifi is horrible. A bad overall experience

It's a really convenient location, for a fraction of the price of the fancier hotels nearby. It is very basic, but if you're good with that, it's a sweet spot to stay. The shower wasn't perfectly clean. It could've used a bit more attention. Another lamp at the bedside world have been nice.

We have stayed at the Ruby Hotel on 1st several times in the past few years for business trips in Spokane. The Ruby is a really easy to walk to the restaurants we like such as The Elk, El Que and Wooden City. The staff is friendly, parking is easy (you need to pay per day) and if you are not fancy or fussy, it is a pretty good value. I did not give full stars as our room had a few things that were not great, The carpet had sticky spots, the toilet needed a good cleaning as it had a pink hue under the water line that seemed like it had not been cleaned properly. The fan in the bathroom does not really clear out the steam which leaves the room feeling damp when you come back at the end of the day, even with the air conditioning on. The pillows desperately need to be replaced as you get one lumpy one, and another flat one as an option. That said, you get two drinks in the bar, per room, per day, along with a way too ample plate of eggs and potatoes in the morning and coffee at Rosie's restaurant. You can use the pretty decent gym at the Montvale which is a short walk. You have a microwave and a small fridge with a freezer and the hair dryer and iron work well:). After this visit we decided that we are going to upgrade our hotel and stay somewhere with more space, a free parking lot and a room that does not feel humid. That said, if you are only staying for one night and looking for a good value, The Ruby is a good option if you like park once and walk everywhere.

This Hotel is extremely noisy and has very little sound proofing. The main train line runs behind the hotel which isn't horrible but the noise from other guests in horrible. The Hotel is a polished Motel 6 at best. Limited parking that you have to pay for and if you don't get a spot in the courtyard area you have to park a block away. The main issue is this Hotel has zero ammematies and is pretty worn out which in turn attracts a certain wage demographic. Spend the extra money and stay in a better Hotel.

Parking is not included, and it’s very limited first come first serve. You pay additional for parking. The towels all smelt like they sat in the washer for too long, musty/moldy I used one of the makeup remover wipes and it smelt like barf, and I was dried up. Both packets in the room were like that. It was convenient for the one night stay in terms of location but I’ll spend an extra $50 at another hotel next time. I’m not one to go out of my way to post negative reviews but this was all around gross.

Parking/access was difficult plus you had to pay for it, room was sparse, dated, and not clean, bed was soft/broken down, bathroom was old fixtures, poor water pressure, toilet seat was loose, just a poor overall experience!

Wonderful overnight stay! The room was large, clean, very comfortable, and equipped with everything I needed. There were onsite laundry facilities. The exceptionally affordable room rates were made even better value with the inclusion of two free drinks in the attached bar and a delicious free breakfast at the diner next door. Fantastic!
