State House Inn, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

We’ve stayed at this property before and had a wonderful experience, which is why we chose to return. Unfortunately, this visit didn’t meet the same expectations. Before our arrival, we received a message advising that some amenities were limited and that breakfast had been changed to a continental breakfast. However, no one informed us during check-in where breakfast was located or the hours it would be served. We also experienced several disturbances during the night, including random people knocking on our door after midnight and what sounded like children running through the hallways. In addition, the air conditioning in our room was not working properly, making our stay less comfortable.

Staff was very helpful when my rooms ac wasn’t working and got me taken care of.

It’s in a very convenient location for me to walk around State Capitol and Lincoln Museum.

I had a great stay, no complaints at all.

Clean and comfortable

Place is older but has had some work done in inside. Check in staff made it quick, Room was just right, place was only a block from the capital and other places of interest. Check staff could use a little work. Breakfast was pretty good.

Air conditioner wasn’t working well to make room cool, it felt too warm. But the suite room was nice to block the TV sounds well from the bedroom. I didn’t hear any noise from adjoining room and spacious enough for both room’s feeling separated

Make sure to bring your own pillows, as theirs are extremely small and have no fluff. You only get 1 pillow if you have 4 people. Room was fine, no issues. Breakfast was fine too. Great parking lot that is free to park. Hotel in great location.

Close proximity to the Lincoln Library and museum. 1st room they gave us was dirty, hot and the faucet was broken in the bathroom. Water was all over the counter and floor.

No closets and garment rack only had 1 hanger. Toilet didn't flush well and garbage cans were tiny. A bit dated, but beds were comfortable.

Parking is outdoors and free.

I think the hotel made alot if assumption that people living in town are the ones likely to have parties. When asked a hotel staff why they charge the credit card so much they said because I lived in Town. The hotel attendant said management have found that the people getting hotel that lived in town typically get hotel to have parties. I am a 59 year old woman that not interested in doing things like that. Additionally, I stayed there this past weekend due to having Raccoons in my home and needed a place to stay until the Raccoons situation were under control. Management did whinned up only charging and or putting a hold on my credit card for $50.00 Instead of the $250.00. I was very thankful for that.

It's a work in progress. Staff and management were great and helped navigate the fumbles.

Loved everything about the stay

Wonderful Stay

I got a fridge this time and that was nice but it’s usually a good hotel to stay at There’s a bit of wear and tear in the rooms but that happens over time with so many people in and out.

Parking was easy . Due to circumstances arrived early but was able to check into the room. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, a/c worked great and breakfast was good.

I had arrived early after a terrible experience at another hotel and the staff were SO NICE and the property was very nice. Decent breakfast and nice lounging areas. Nice view. Many things in walking distance including Dumb Records and Prairie Archives as well as capitol attractions. Absolutely recommend this hotel if you’re spending time in Springfield.
