Staff was very helpful. Rooms are very clean.

Hot!! Hot!! Hot!! Did I mention how hot the bedroom was? The AC barely put out any cold air. The room was uncomfortably hot. I did not get any sleep, which defeated the purpose for booking a room. It was disappointing. I can't see recommending, or booking, this hotel in the future.

Hotel was just ok. Bathroom fan didn’t work, front desk staff somewhat unhelpful. Not much as far as dining options nearby. Can’t highly recommend.
-
Good location. Parking is readily available and free. Would have liked a refrigerator in room. Didn't find the closet until we were checking out. (When sliding door to the bathroom is open, it covers the closet.)
-
Terrible. It was so hot, even after they switched me rooms.

The only reason I didn’t give the amenities five stars is that there was no mini fridge in the room. Outside temperatures were in the 90’s during our stay and keeping bottled water cold required surrounding it with ice in the ice bucket. The ice machine worked great, though.

This is the place to stay if you are visiting all the museums and historic places near the Capitol complex. Very walkable for many of the attractions, including Lincoln's home. We enjoyed the hotel very much, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was very adequate. Free parking a plus. Minor thing ... our room did not have a mini fridge, but ice machine had plenty of ice for our cooler.

The staff were nice, the sheets were dirty and the previous person left her eye lashes behind and the cleaning people just left them there. The front desk were just looking at the security cameras the whole time.

The only improvement I'd like to have seen was a bit more attention to housekeeping. There were quite a few crumbs behind and under the sofa when we went to make the bed, and the ice bucket had not been cleaned and had some type of dried liquid in the bottom, so we did not attempt to use. Other than that, we were satisfied with our stay and would stay again if visiting Springfield.

Couldn’t turn the fan off in the room the towels were falling apart

The air conditioning was fantastic!

Great hotel! The only issue I had was finding hair in the shower. Staff was incredibly polite and helpful.

I booked this hotel based on the Hotels.com listing, which advertised a spa, lounge with light bites, and a breakfast buffet. None of those amenities existed. The listing is cleverly deceptive. After I booked, I received an email stating the breakfast buffet had been changed to a continental breakfast due to remodeling. There is no evidence of any ongoing remodeling. Upon check-in, the front desk clerk was folding bath towels on the front desk. First red flag to which I should have heeded. The hotel also looked different from the photos online. The listing portrays a bright, updated property, but we found it to feel dark, dated, and not particularly clean. We contemplated not even staying once we stepped off the elevator. We were also charged a $50 incidental hold, which felt excessive considering there are NO amenities or services available to charge back to the room. The location is excellent, and that’s the hotel’s ONLY strength. However, the listing should accurately reflect the current condition of the property and the amenities that are actually available. Had we known what to expect, we would have booked elsewhere.

Hotel was nice and clean and quiet. The only downfall was a small parking lot and no signs to alert to the turn into hotel. But everything else was great! All staff I encountered were friendly. The room was clean and comfortable!

Two tissues left in Kleenex box and had to request refill. Only decaf coffee available and had to request caffeinated pack. Got in nice clean shower to wash my hair and there were two shampoo’s. NO cream rinse. Certainly NOT the end of the world but we were busy sightseeing and had a schedule to keep. Thx for asking.

We’ve stayed at this property before and had a wonderful experience, which is why we chose to return. Unfortunately, this visit didn’t meet the same expectations. Before our arrival, we received a message advising that some amenities were limited and that breakfast had been changed to a continental breakfast. However, no one informed us during check-in where breakfast was located or the hours it would be served. We also experienced several disturbances during the night, including random people knocking on our door after midnight and what sounded like children running through the hallways. In addition, the air conditioning in our room was not working properly, making our stay less comfortable.
