Oasis Hotel & Conv. Center, an Ascend Collection Hotel

Aaron made the check in process so easy and quick. He informed me of everything the hotel had to offer from the restaurant to the pool area. He let me know where I could walk my dogs and he also provided them a “ doggy” gift bag. Aaron was amazing he is a truly genuinely nice person.

Location was good, had both indoor and outdoor pools, rooms were plenty big. Breakfast was great! Super fun, waffle station, etc. It was dated and honestly just not that clean! The showers are those fancy contraptions with 100 different options making them super difficult for kids to use and honestly even myself. The wood headboard over one of the beds was covered in god only knows what, just super dirty! There was tissue paper from like a birthday gift stuffed under the chair in the room, clearly not cleaned up from prior guests. Our room faced a fenced wall and whatever was on the other side was loud, trucks and lots of beeping. There were a few kids that were in the hallways screaming for something like 30 minutes straight! We were also up a flight of stairs and the only elevator on the property broke. Staff was kind about offering to help drag stuff down the stairs. Pools were not crowded, so that was nice.

It’s very kid friendly. The hotel itself felt dirty and outdated. The carpets need cleaning, random things like faucet handles were broken, etc. small things, but they matter. The moment you walk in you’re hit with a wall of fake banana/coconut smell which I assume is meant to make you feel like you’re in a tropical oasis in the middle of Missouri. Just a little off, though I can appreciate what they’re trying to accomplish. The restaurant food was terrible and overpriced. My fire and ice bowl was $19 and was 100% a microwaved dish.

We liked the proximity of our accessible room to the handicap parking spaces. The room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was higher quality than comparable hotels, and the atmosphere of the space in which breakfast was offered was light, bright, and airy, which made it a delightful way to start the day. Every aspect of our stay far exceeded our expectations. At first, we worried that we would be bothered by noise from the adjoining room and the pool outside our first-floor room, but everything quieted down at an appropriate time. We worried for nothing.

The environment is great. The breakfast was good. Just for my room only, the pillows needed to be replaced as well as the mattress. There is no closet except for a cubby hole not big enough for a full length shirt. Not over abundant of receptacles for electronics. Balcony was great but there were no chairs or tables on them. Indoor and outdoor pools were great. Not bad but needs some new sleeping furniture.

Beautiful gated property. The coconut smell and tropical decor make you forget you are in Missouri. Rooms are large. Bathrooms are modern. Indoor pool is impressive. Outdoor pool is fine and includes beautiful landscaping. Breakfast is decent. Fitness center is basic but gets the job done.

No coffee past 10am. You are forced to buy Starbucks.

Cool, retro vibe from hotel that has been updated. Had the two bed queen which was good sized. Bathroom with a shower and no tub, which is my preference. Nice indoor pool with splash pad for kids. Outdoor pool has a window to order from restaurant. Had chicken wings and salad and both were good. Breakfast is standard hotel fair. Property is gated with security guard at gatehouse

This place was a pleasant surprise! I highly recommend it!

We stayed overnight in a handicapped accessible room. It was great to have a quality restaurant on the grounds so we didnt need to go out. Room and surroundings were clean and attractive. All was great, price good, no complaints.

The room was clean. The breakfast was good. The bar server at the restaurant was very helpful insight recommending things to do.

Breakfast in the atrium was a beautiful experience! Very clean hotel, shower was heavenly, rooms big enough for all of our luggage, nice sized pools! Our room was not very soundproof. We heard a lot of doors.
