Forest Park Hotel by MDR

There are bed bugs in the room. I got bits. When we tell the front desk next morning, the guy said he can change a room for us, no refund. But we have to leave.

Had to wait on front desk several minutes. Had to ask for wifi password. Microwave didn't heat food that well.

The area is a bit sketch and the elevators are creaky and made for horror films. However the hotel itself is okay: clean, helpful staff. The room was clean and had no probs.

Nice clean well maintained hotel. No real services, I eat food etc here but many restaurant choices nearby. Hot coffee in the lobby all day. Very nice staff. All in all we would stay here again.

No hair dryer. Very friendly staff. Mattress not great. Great water pressure in the shower.

No hot water. No breakfast. Dirty carpet. Old elevator. Not worth the money

The hotel, for what it is worth, did the job. The shower was hot and the pressure was great, the pool area was well taken of and the pool itself was clean, and our beds were made and neat. We did appreciate having a pet friendly room for ours! Although the carpet was pretty damp, not sure if it's due to it being cleaned from it being a dog friendly room, as the room had no bad smell to it! The tables had a little bit of grime on it, but nothing crazy! We appreciated a working AC and a clean bed for the night. Would stay here again. Thank you.

Not a safe place with kids. And picture look way nicer than what it is. When getting there, the elevator doors shut on our kids and my husband had to push the door open and hold it because it would not stay open. Several adult guests kept staring at our kids in the pool from their balconies. It felt very uneasy. The smell of pot was strong. It just felt very uncomfortable so we had a gut feeling to leave. As we were leaving my husband encountered a man wondering the hotel and then he road the elevator down with us talking to our kids (2, 4 and 6). Once we exited the elevators the man continued to walk with me and my 2yo and made inappropriate comments to her. This man proceeded to walk out to the parking lot with us. We got in our car and got out. The 2 hours total we spent there was 2 hours too long. This is not a safe area and its very run down.

We had a peaceful, pleasant stay. It is an older hotel but well enough maintained and reasonable for the price. I would stay there again.

Floors on bath were sticky and carpets where not vacuumed as there was debris on socks when walking in the room. Asked housekeeper to please thoroughly clean my floors - which they did the first night. You get one Kcup in the room, and since I didnt get housekeeping in had to go down and get one daily. Shower curtain did not have liner. place looks tired. The manager, whom appears to also be the owner, was not helpful to fix issues. I will not stay there again. This is a budget hotel, with mainstream prices.

The room smelled of urine the toilet was backwards and I had a hard time finding out how to flush it. The was only one working elevator. The staff was pleasant, but I wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay there.

Staff at check-in/out was very friendly. Hotel overall is in ok shape. Double bed (queen) room was decently clean and equipped with mini fridge/freezer combo, microwave and Keurig coffee maker. AC worked great. Unfortunately we had no hot water for showers - good thing there was a severe heat warning at the time of our stay. Probably the worst part of this hotel was the smell in the hallways - cigarette smoke and weed at all times. Otherwise felt safe and appreciated the front door, free parking.
