Clean, updated and very convenient to walk to the beach and restaurants

Unfortunately, for the Owner, I was immediately greeted by an extremely drunk (too loud, but largely cheerful - not feisty) couple at the central pool. Rough 1st impression but, this is, after all, Flori-DUH. Eventually tracked down owner - a very pleasant and professional fellow. There are many many accommodation choices, in the St. Pete area - and I would repeat a stay at the Carlton House. Clean safe Waffle House only 100 yards away from the property with no busy street to cross. owner indicated that a major 'refresh' of the rooms was about to occur so...the rather 'dated' finishes and edges and door knobs and surfaces will, apparently, be improved.

This place is a gem. You’re about a block from the ocean, walking distance to bars and restaurants. It’s an “old school” motel that has excellent service and a clean place to stay. My bed was comfortable and the amenities were great. Betty in the office is the best and so helpful. I will stay here everytime i am in South Pasadena.

Loved our stay here, the only thing that we didn't love about the property is that the bed frames in the cottage house were on rollers, so when you went to sit up in the bed they would slide a bit. Other than that, the property was lovely. Ice machine on site, heated pool, an easy check in process at 2pm. Thanks so much!

Amazingly clean the room was fantastic the sheets and towels My Wife and I were in disbelief. They were softer than $200 hotel with Hampton Inn or even higher level hotels so impressive

Room didn't quit cool down enough in August, and the ceiling fan was very loud. Not great during heat advisory. Was tolerable, but could be improved.

We enjoyed our stay very much! Can’t beat the price, close to the beach and other activities. Room was clean, pool was amazing, easy check in. Will definitely stay again.

Just what we were looking for. Clean and close to the beach. Nothing fancy but we are simple people and clean and convenient (and priced well) works for us! Would def stay again
