Sirata St. Pete Beach Resort, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

We have stayed the Sirata many times before the new remodel into a Hilton Tapestry Collection member. The best way to put it is: They are going to be great - but are not there yet. The photos being posted are gorgeous & photoshopped. Still a lot of construction happening at all hours. Hard to relax & hear the beach waves with beeping dumptrucks and metal cutting saws going all day, & clouds of dust around the pool. There also appears to be a staff shortage resulting in rooms not being serviced regularly - running out of toilet paper is not great! One of the rooms in our group didn't have a functioning door - they came and cut the door latch out to make it able to close. It also didn't have a room number on it. The bathrooms in the standard rooms are so small you have to stand in the shower to be able to close the bathroom door! The restaurant, Rum Runners, is VERY slow! There is no kitchen in the building so when you do finally get your food it is cold, and having been transported in plastic warming covers, the food is soggy. Entrees don't come out together so your group doesn't actually eat together. Which you wouldn't care if the drinks were flowing but bar service is also slow. You can see the hotel upgrades appearing but they are not there yet! And for the price we paid it should have been better! On the positive, I stayed in a King Suite which was enormous & had a beautiful view - totally worth the extra cost! St Pete Beach is gorgeous & clean. Sunsets are to die for!

room, beach, pool and location Our room was next to a housekeeping supply closet, and the workers often left boxes or trash carts near or close to our room. Also at times they spoke or laughed loudly in Spanish.

the food prices at the new building were really pricey. 5 coconut shrimp for $19? a steak for $52?

Location and ocean view room

Cons: Tiny bathroom. To close door, you had to either step in shower or along side toilet. Slippery tiled floor with no mats to wipe feet. Doors to enter room & balcony required forcing to open. If you miss room service between 8 & 9am, no restocking of tp,towels, or coffee. No beach chairs after 5. During the week, no water sports in am. No yoga. Crowded pool w/ limited umbrellas. 80's rock music at pool, firepit/lounge started at 730am. No peaceful spaces to relax. Very little shade. Kitchen in different location than restaurant. Service slow. Food tastes great but served cold. Furniture pretty but uncomfortable. Building needs anti-glare & shade. Hotel not a good choice for people w/ limited mobility. Many uneven surfaces. Risers on restaurant stairs have a dangerous gaps. No low tables in shaded area of restaurant. No restroom in restaurant, so needed to exit, walk around building, down ramp to patio then to the passageway to bathrooms w/ only 4 stalls total to serve restaurant, beach,bar, pool, sitting areas, & courtyard. Pool stairs with accessible handrail is at the farthest corner from entry requiring crossing the cluttered deck. No accessible beach chair option. no accessible mat across the soft sand. (There is a chair accessible area at the bar)

Property was run down and poorly maintained for a Hilton, a pool and outdoor bar was ripped out and covered with bare dirt. Rooms smelled and they tried to give us another one but they all smelled the same way..

The hotel is still under renovation and is sorely lacking in upgrades or current air conditioning systems - most rooms that were ocean front had a problem with line of sight or noise - the checking took 30 mins and the parking fees and amenity fees were high for little return - the restaurant was poorly run and staffed - long waits

The only downside is our bathroom tub. It’s very concave. I had to stay focused on staying in the middle of the tub while showering. Any shift to right or left, I would probably fall. I’m not handicap but thanks to the bars to grab onto. My best friend reference that tub to being similar to being in a canoe.

The rooms were very clean.Staff was very friendly.Beach view was nice. Restaurant and bar were good.

Beach front property. Great staff

The resort was beautiful! Easy access to the beach and multiple pools on site. Our room was spacious and even had two Tv’s. The only complaint we have is that we had a very long wait for our dinner at the Rum Runner restaurant, but the manager was apologetic and accommodating.

I thought that the location of the property was its best asset. I think small decisions by management took away from the trip. Little things like performing minor construction in the same vicinity of where guests were staying could be problem for guests that sleep in for example.

Pretty cheap decent property located on the beach. It does have a nice pool with Beach service and a nice restaurant okay right at the pool property is obviously an older property that has been renovating many times over the years. Room with clean and had coffee maker or refrigerator beside bathroom was very very small and beautiful to get ready. Overall it was a good location and it was certainly stay there again

Very nice

Over all the stay was good.. we’ve stayed here multiple times and this was the first time we were disappointed in the room. It had a musty smell, no microwave or sink to washout cups, no chairs outside the room. They were not busy and yet we had a room facing the road. The new pool was great. Miss the outside bar.
