La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Stamford / New York City

Front staff was great. The room was mostly clean, and needed repairs. The door took extra effort to close, the patio door didn't lock and there was dog poop on it. The water sometimes had yellowish color to it. The alarm clock went off at 6am and it took me a while to figure out how to turn it off. We had booked for four guests which was confirmed at the front desk, but there were only two bath towels. Our floors ice machine didn't work, but one two floors down did work. Breakfast was simple, but pleasant. Overall, you get what you pay for, and it was a cheap hotel for this area. It was undergoing some significant renovations as of July 2026.

The facility was under renovation. An elevator got stuck with a person inside for 30 minutes. The housekeeper never came. Extremely disappointing.

The property is under maintenance and it's impossible to move and the building materials are everywhere. Its only saving grace is price for location.

Satisfecho

Not only is the place a dump, but they also charged my credit card about $100 more than the rate I reserved through Expedia. There are other area hotels; none of them can be as bad as this one.

Está es la segunda vez que el servicio es horrible pero esta vez fue peor el viernes llegando la TV no servía la cafetera no servía me cambiaron de cuarto después de dos horas para colmo la recepcionista cargó mi tarjeta a otra huésped tuve que bajar apagar de nuevo me cambiaron de cuarto y no avía plancha no servían los enchufes pedí toallas nunca me las llevaron yo limpié mi cuarto entregué las toallas sucias y nunca me llevaron toallas no pude bañarme tenía una entrevista y no pude planchar mi camisa fue horrible y me gusta la quinta siempre me hospedo ai pero muy mal servicio a las 8:30 Yano ay café nunca pude tomar desayuno

The hotel was undergoing a remodel so it was messy, but that’s understandable. The cons: most of it smelled like weed upon arrival, and when we left this morning the hallway outside our door smelled like cigarette smoke, and the parking lot where we parked smelled of urine. Condom wrapper close by car. Floors in our room were not clean at all and the shower curtain couldn’t close all the way, so water got everywhere. For the quality of this stay our rooms should’ve been half the price.

The place was gross and I got stuck in the elevator and had to pry open the doors leaving myself with cuts on my forearms. The place should be closed down.

You get what you pay for - if you're just looking for a clean place to stay, they've got it covered for a good value (although they are currently undergoing a lot of renovations, so the common areas are a bit messier than the rooms). Not particularly convenient to anything, but parking is pretty cheap compared to other areas of Stamford. The team was very cheerful and helpful throughout check-in and our stay.

MORE IMPORTANTLY. I can’t prove it, but I’m pretty sure these are bedbug bites on my freaking feet and leg legs at some point I took my socks off and put my feet under the covers just my feet and those are the only parts that have bites when I came back from my trip. Horrible who would not recommend. I’m gonna have to contact property manager or Expedia customer service because this was absolutely horrible and I stay at hotels several times a year.

The place is undergoing renovations. The main entrance wasn’t working, there were boxes in the hallways with air conditioning units waiting to be put in, etc. But our room was clean and it was quiet at night so it served our purpose during the visit. Staff was always friendly. Having an attached restaurant was a plus!

A hotel lobby is your first impression. There is no acceptable reason for that lobby to look like that
