This weeks surprise (apart from the lobby being a construction site) was that the key machine was broken so guests had to be escorted to their rooms to be let in

No hot water for two days

The hotel was under construction when we arrived so there were building materials piled up in the parking lot and there wasn’t much of a lobby. The front desk person was surrounded by drywall and their moral/energy seemed low. But they got us checked in and out just fine. The room was clean but well used. There were some scuffs in the bathtub and mineral deposits on the shower head. None of this was an actual problem per say, it could just use some refreshing/replacing. The AC in the room was pretty loud/clunky.

The hotel is violating Connecticut Public Health Law § 19a-109 because it has no hot water. The room is legally uninhabitable. Absolutely blown away that i had to argue the fact that they are in breach of the law and Expedia defended this and continues to advertise this hotel!

Our reservation was cancelled and I wasn’t notified. Got to hotel no room and 600 miles from home

The front lobby was bare concrete. The ADA elevator was not big enough for luggage and mother in law at the same time, the "heater" was so loud, it sounded like an airplane was landing in the room. The price was sky high, the electrical outlets were questionable, the bed was lumpy, and the shower drip, drip, dripped. Other than that, the breakfast was edible and the front desk guy was very nice. :)

Horrible customer service

Having said all that, I still appreciated 2 nights for what I would have paid for just one night at the Hyatt. But, felt like I still paid too much.

Staff was very friendly, however.. i would, first of all, NOT call this a handicap accessible place... you have to take this weird lift to get to the elevators... AND the construction makes getting across some floors like dealing with run down streets, potholes and all. Most importantly, the "accessible" room had a desk and chair in the way of the hallway, AND there was a half dead mouse on the floor... i got pics and video... .. their excuse was it was under construction and the construction guys leave the doors open, but THIS WAS the upper half of the building.. not the first floor.. sooo. Mighty mouse?!

The rooms need better cleaning, and the bathtub was clogged; the water was pooling.

This was my first time at this hotel. I had heard good things about it from others. There was what I'd call a glitch in my checking-in. The gentleman at the front desk handled this professionally and all went well. The room was very clean and just what I needed for my stay. The breakfast provided was much more than I expected. The location is ideal, though I should mention that parts of the street do not have adequate sidewalks or crossing signals for pedestrians. There is a large Shop-Rite grocery and other shops nearby. I will be back.

Horrible hotel. Didn’t even have hot water when we were there so we left. Not worth the money even if it’s a good price.
