Residence Inn by Marriott Stillwater

Pet friendly Pet friendly. But not the first floor-convenient. They had to keep letting us in the room. Due to the key machine being broken. Only fixed the last day of my stay. The front desk clerk checking us in was new and kept trying to charge us again. After paid online. Then, tried to tell us that the room deposit was the same as the full price of the stay. Then, last night of stay. We were woken in the night with the AC making this Ungodly noise. The front desk staff did not know what to do to make it right. So, he moved us to another room saying the Manager would be there at 8. We had planned to be on the road before that. So, we waited for her not to show up. Then, the night staff never told the day staff anything about moving us. So, we had to explain everything again. Then, the Manager was called. She refused to come to the hotel or talk to us over the phone. Because, they were being audited at another hotel. Isn't part of an audit is to make sure your facility makes your guest happy. But, you couldn't take a 1 minute phone call for a paying customer?? I digress. The front staff was then told to give us points. I don't go anywhere enough to use points!! So, after getting nowhere there. The front end Manager who was also supposed to be there. Wasn't available until 9am. We were told. We won't check you out. Because, it's saying you owe us for the stay!! But, she will call you and fix it when she gets in. I said no. I want to speak to someone before I leave this state. I've seen the reviews of people being told this and never get a call back. I spoke with Stephanie who assured me that I would not be charged again. That she would call booking to give me a discount for our inconvenience. I'm still waiting for the adjustment. I called Booking.com and she had never called them to make it.. Straight up LIE. I still haven't seen the adjustment. Beware of this place. They make promises that they don't keep.

The hotel had just recently gone through a major renovation. There was a heat wave going through Stillwater, and many of the air conditioners were having problems keeping up the staff did everything they could possibly do to help us get a comfortable room, and although the conditions weren’t ideal, they went out of their way. They moved us to a room where the unit was working good.

Great property , great location Old used soap left in shower , bathroom door wouldn’t latch ( had to lift up on door to make it latch ) the remodel made things worse ,( we were here back in march and it was perfect then -had to fight with front door to make it stay closed and lock!

Staff was helpful; room was pretty decent; breakfast was ok. Overall it was a decent stay.

Bad

Many advertised amenities were unavailable: no working ice machines, no working laundry machines, no vending machines, and no housekeeping for our entire stay. We had to get our own towels and toilet paper every day. The property was also poorly maintained. Construction debris, cigarette butts, and trash remained outside all week. The outdoor seating areas were never cleaned, with sticky tables and cushions scattered on the ground. None of the outdoor or pool area outlets worked, which made it impossible for me to work remotely outside and left me confined to a hot, dark room. We reported these issues to staff throughout our stay, but very little was resolved. Had we known about these conditions before booking, we would have chosen a different hotel.

When we walked in the entry, there was quite a bit of construction in the lobby as they were remodeling this part of the hotel. Once this is finished, it should complete the remodeling process of the hotel. We will definitely be staying here again!

Nice, clean and comfortable I booked a two room suite so my grandmother wouldn’t be alone. Upon checking in, was told there were none available and instead had to have two separate rooms, which happened to be on separate floors. Caused distress for grandmother.

it was horrible under construction and the pool was ice cold and not in a good way

Nothing. They were under renovations (major) when we arrived and so I canceled our reservation. Still waiting for a refund. I didn't like that they were under major renovations and we weren't informed of it. Yes, I booked it through booking but we called a couple of days before to add an additional night and on and asked if the pool was open. They said yes but didn't inform us of all the renovations going on. Before I canceled the reservation, I asked the fromt desk if there was a bathroom my 4 year old could use and she said no.

Nothing. Libby was hot no air conditioning, it was I Under renovation. No where to hag out outside of room. Pool was indoor and muggy bc of ac not working Didn’t have spare bedding in rooms nor pillows for sofa sleeper. Had to go to lobby for spare bedding. No extra pillows whatsoever. Kids had to sleep without pillows. Ac didn’t work to well in rooms either
