Motel 6 Sulphur, LA

I don’t know how this place has even reach close to 7/10. Either the people are being paid for the reviews or they are reviewing another location by accident. The only thing good to say about this place was the receptionist. Everything else was so bad from the exterior to interior. If it wasn’t midnight and I didn’t have my exhausted children with me I’d have the receptionist go door to door with me to find this mysterious 10/10 clean room everyone else received.

My room was pretty nasty when I checked in, no shower curtain or remote for tv, AC barely worked, bugs all over the floor (yes the R ones) and housekeeping came in our room while we were gone but just took the used towels and didn’t leave us any clean ones which I found really odd 😂 so far I haven’t noticed anything missing but definitely won’t be staying here again which is sad cause I usually do a once a year trip in the area and always stay here but, never again.

Great place to stay when Lake Charles is full

Staff was very helpful.

The bathroom door knob needs replacing, you cannot open the door once you're inside. The bed near the bedroom mattress needs replacing.

The room had a strong musty or moldy odor, floors hadn’t been mopped, tub was dirty and refrigerator smelled so bad. I was constantly spraying air fresheners to try and get rid of the smell. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone unless you are desperate for a place to stay.

Outside of the hotel didn’t do no justice to the rooms, rooms were nice and clean safe and quiet stayed 1 week didn’t have no problems

Ac didn’t work well

There was no breakfast. Good location The evening staff needs more training. I did not have an iron in my room.

The room was very nice for the price of the room. Clean and ready at check in time. They were busy so early check in wasn't a possibility. The tv was okay but I wasn't here to watch tv so it didn't bother me, the AC worked and kept the room very cold . I was super annoyed that we were charged a $100 deposit at check in, this wasn't stated anywhere in the reservation that we would have to do this. What would keep me from staying her again is the NASTY area that is used for the dogs to go potty. The people that basically live there NEVER clean up after their dogs and the small patch of grass has got poop every step you or your dog could take. The smell within 20 ft of this area is overwhelming to say the least. Unfortunately, this leaves it to staff to keep area clean and they also don't clean the area. Overall it's a decent place to stay and if you don't have a dog would totally recommend it. If you are traveling with your dogs I probably wouldn't stay here or plan on taking your dogs somewhere else to use potty.

No coffee pot in lobby. And my job ended a week sooner before it was supposed to and the owners would not refund a week back to me bc they don’t refund money so I suggest if you don’t know how long you gonna stay don’t pay for more than week at a time.

Everything was ok

This is not a good place to stay the rooms are dirty. I found mold in the shower, bugs come in under the door. The room smelled so bad I had to spray Lysol before entering . I was disappointed with the service I received.

Staff was nice. Room was convenient and affordable. Things need to be updated at this property.

Window was covered in bugs and no one there to attend to us. Ended up having to go somewhere else after waiting for more than half an hour with no help. Had pre booked and prepaid for reservation as well.
