We checked in later in the day after 9pm so the staff put the keys in a lock box and did our check in over the phone. Very convenient! The place was clean, quiet, and overall a nice stay.

I liked that it was convenient to alots of thing, rather walking or driving. The staff was very nice. I liked the really nice kitchen and the spacious feel of the room. The bed was VERY UNCOMFORTABLE!

OK location—not too far from everything. Cascade state park is just 2 miles down the block. Looks stylish and neat from the outside. Reminded me more of a college campus apartment/dorm. Looks like some students do live there in the other rooms and the rest of it has been furnished for vacation rental. We stayed in the Ling suite but I wouldn’t call it that. The bed was uncomfortable, moderately noisy at night and early mornings—too much light gets in so you can’t really enjoy a good night’s rest if you’re bothered by light at night. I don’t think they can do much about it besides getting well fitted dark room blinds that actually work. They have an air conditioning system tucked away neatly but unfortunately it is right in the bedroom, facing opposite from the bed. It is really loud but because it gets too hot either, you can’t afford to turn it off—tough choice between sleeping hot or inside a small aircraft.

Good space, quiet at night, comfortable, and I was happy to use the small gym downstairs. Staff were nice. The unit wasn’t clean well at all. Especially the floors. I tried to clean them a bit and the paper towel was brown and yellow right away. Kind of disgusting. I put my slippers on, but even then I would get dog hair on them. It’s hard to relax when the place is dirty. Also, kitchen didn’t have any tea spoons, just 2 forks, and in general can benefit from few kitchen gadgets. Even adding paper towel, dish soap, and dish sponge would be helpful.

This was the first time I stayed at a stayAPT Suites hotel. The room was well-equipped, like a real apartment, with dishes, dishwasher, full-size refrigerator and microwave. And it's conveniently located, about 10 minutes from the FAMU and FSU campuses. The only thing I found weird was there is no door separating the bedroom and the living area. Other than that, everything was great.

The room was not very clean when we checked in. I most certainly could have swept and mopped and cleaned the kitchen if I had brought cleaning supplies, but I have never had to bring a broom to a hotel! If you are staying for a long time, bring cleaning supplies. We were offered one cleaning for an 8 day stay. Access to additional towels and supplies was great; simply go to the laundry room and grab what you need and drop off your dirty towels. There was one SMALL bar of soap provided. No dishwasher pods, no dish soap, no paper towels...nothig like in a normal hotel or extended suite hotel like a Springhill. So you must bring everything. There is plenty of space in the room, a decent closet and desk. $ plates, cups, and bowls. A couple of cooking pans. 4 silverware sets. Not much. Full fridge, oven and microwave. The grounds are kept well, the courtyard is really nice and access to a grill is convienent. Someone was out there grilling their dinner each night, so you definiety have to share. Parking is easy and the price was very affordable. My college kids had to stay there for the week and they felt safe. I did have to drive to Tally and check them in since they weren't 21. No keyless entry (no iphone key app).
