Embassy Suites by Hilton Tampa USF Near Busch Gardens

Staff was very friendly check in and out was easy There was a leaky shower which caused the room to smell musty. When trying to sleep the leaky shower was a problem.

I have been getting care at Moffit cancer center and stay there frequently. Unfortunately, I have come down with covid and had to cancel my surgery. I asked for a refund or credit for next appointment and was kicked back to Expedia where I guess no human exists. So, from now on Ill book directly with whatever hotel I can the day of.

Having breakfast at the hotel is excellent. The very best is the made to order station for the omelets and bacon, all the other plus was also great, my husband and I were completely impressed, also the 2 complimentary drinks per night and appetizer was a surprise. When I made my reservation I told them it was my birthday on Friday the 28th, and Vicky from the back office, kbock on my door on Thursday with flowers, card and a happy birthday balloon. I was totally surprised. She remembered it was my 75th birthday. The room was always very cold and we couldn't control the temperature, unless we turn it off. The rug had a few patches of another rug and it made the room cheap. Some of the outlets had missing screws, the refrigerator felt like it wasn't attached properly. The cleaning service were extremely helpful.

My husband and I paid upfront in April through Expedia for our hotel stay in August and when we checked in the front desk said they needed our card which is normal and fine but the next day we realized our credit card was swiped again for our stay by the hotel. Initially they said no that they saw no charge on their end but later upon insisting they check again lo and behold we were charged again. They said they reversed the charge but to date have not received the refund to our credit card . This greatly inconvenienced us and some of the front staff are not helpful.

Clean, comfortable room with plenty of amenities, easy to find. Had to pay extra to park; had difficulty with the door lock getting out of the room (821); evening reception food was subpar.

Rooms are nice, clean, could use a little updating but overall decent. The staff is very nice, especially Jennifer at the front, she was very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast is always top notch and something we look forward to at an Embassy Suites.

First of all, the rooms are HUGE. It’s rare to get a hotel room these days that is this spacious. The staff was also friendly and helpful. Breakfast was quite a nice spread, and there is an evening reception with drinks and little bites. My main issue is with the cleanliness of the place. Things haven’t been updated in quite some time and it shows. Several feet of the carpet in the bedroom was pulled off the baseboard area. There were corn chips on the floor by the bed. Many of the surfaces, including the backs of the chairs in the dining area were sticky with old food residue.

I expected more staying at the Embassy Suites. A/C leaked inside the room, causing a huge water puddle that trailed into the bathroom. Maintenance came to address it at about 11pm at night when a call was placed 2.5 hours ago. Room was dated and looked old and things were worn out, Vents looked dirty, Carpet dated and worn. Where the carpet met the tile it was frayed and nails were poking through. Had a corner room with windows and you could barely see out of them they were really dirty. The front desk people were friendly and so was the maintenance guy. Again I just expected more since I have stayed at other Embassy Suites and they were very first class.
