Loved the easy check-in with door code, breakfast was very good with many choices, staff was very friendly and welcoming. Parking was great with short walk to our room. Keeping in mind this is an older historic hacienda it was charming and in good condition. Seems the grounds could use a little maintenance...such as brushing off patio furniture before arrival, and some leaves to tidy up...but those were minor considerations. Overall we were very happy and enjoyed a relaxing stay.

Nice to stay in something that has the flair of the local architecture, panomaric views of the mountains, quiet backyard that guests were actually using and a breakfast that was authentic and made with obvious care and love. Could not find controls for the air conditioner. Otherwise, extremely nice and to top it off the price was surprisingly reasonable.

This is a MUST stay place!! So cute and perfect place to stay with a great breakfast provided. They take great care of everything. Property is secluded but located on the main road going through town. Just wish we stayed longer. We were just passing through headed to another town. But we will be back!! Very friendly!! Also they text you and give you all the info you need to get into the room and where to park etc. Great communication!!!

We so enjoyed our stay at Hacienda del Sol. The location was quiet. The extras: common room, outside seating, (yard, lawn chairs as well as tables), parking spot, and security were all appreciated. The staff were very responsive to any questions I had even before we arrived. They were thorough in their answers as well as accommodating. The gentleman who check us in, as well as the breakfast "chef" were very pleasant and helpful. Enjoyed our breakfast and getting to eat it enjoying the outdoors! Always got right to satisfying any need we had. The bed was very comfortable. The historic flavor was great (even if it meant a few uneven bricks here and there). The Southwest decor make us realized we were visiting a special place. The ease of checking in and and having our own door code was easy to use and remember. Thank you both for our wonderful stay. We will definitely recommend your B&B to any coming your way. Can't think of anything.

I really enjoyed the rooms and parking were named which made it extremely easy to locate! We loved the patio access to the yard and the adobe fireplace which gave it that special New Mexico charm! Also loved having a robe ~ especially since I had to run out to my car after putting on my pajamas and getting in late! There was no way I was getting dressed again! Additionally, I LOVED the hot water for a relaxing bath! It’s shocking how hard it is to find HOT water when traveling! Lastly, the chef was extremely friendly and helped “walk” us through the breakfast options which helped select our items relatively easily; especially since I was traveling with my grandchild. We On that note, we also really enjoyed the red pork tamales for breakfast! They were delicious! :) I would have loved a small coffee pot in the room to have my morning coffee while getting ready. Additionally I was a little disappointed with the breakfast. It was good, however I think I expected more breakfast options if you will. For example there were no meat options nor were there any potatoes. The miniature quiche were “cute” but I would need 5-7 to fill up. Lastly, the pork red tamales were delicious but the masa on the green tamales was still very moist and it was more masa than meat and chile. I think given it was a bed and breakfast I expected a more “home” like meal. BUT I’ve never stayed in a B & B so I may have had some misconceptions due to lack of experience! All in all, would we stay again ~ yes!

Hacienda del Sol is a wonderful place! Unlike many hotels in Taos that have modernized decor, HdS has kept its authentic Southwestern aesthetic and charm. It has a feel of a cozy B&B, with private rooms and a fantastic communal breakfast. The property is lovely, takes you back in time, with beautiful courtyards and old trees that back up against the Pueblo. Our room was huge, warm and well appointed, and the staff is so friendly - Cody made a wonderful breakfast and was a cheery start to our day. We would definitely come back again!
