Sonder by Marriott Bonvoy Mill Ave Apartments Tempe

The property itself was nice overall. It was clean, it had a nice kitchen and bathroom area. My key fob didn't work to enter the building or use the elevators. I had to wait for others to get in. Chat support did not help me get it to work and never got back to me. I had to go to the leasing office, even though I wasn't supposed to, and they were able to reprogram the fob. There weren't enough fobs. There was a hot water outage most of the time I was there. I never got an invoice for my stay. I tried to get an invoice and learned that the company had liquidated and abandoned its support lines.

No hot water - we were notified the day of arrival and told that the hot water was not working for a week!!!! Not acceptable to rent anyplace without hot water!!!

My stay was cancelled without further notification; no details were provided for me as to confirmation code, where to go to receive keys, etc. I had received zero communication. 0/10 would not wish this upon anyone.

Location was perfect visiting ASU student! Very clean Not easy navigating getting keys and opening room door. No one is available at location to help.

Also, we were glad not to be annoyed too much by the trains passing by just next to the hotel. We had a worse experience in downtown Denver. I am not a fan of the full virtual check-in when it is more intrusive than a regular face-to-face : We were asked for information (and emails) of everyone, ID copy and face recognition for me, pay 200$ deposit in advance, need to create a sonder account and download the app to get the check-in instructions and book a parking spot. That too so long, was intrusive, and was unexpected. At the very least, we should know about this at booking on booking dot com because so much is happening outside of booking secured communication. Finally, for a longer stay and more than four people, I would worry about the lack of chairs and kitchenware.

Instructions on parking were not clear. Youtube video didn't include all details, and there is no reception desk that could assist.

It’s centered in the university area, which is close to several shops and restaurants. The place is spacious for one to two people. The walls are super thin, and the property provides earplugs for this reason. There is no TV in the bedroom just in the main living room portion of the apartment. Parking is $20 extra per night. I probably wouldn’t stay again.

The apartment was very nice, roomy and very clean. All of the common spaces (pool, game room, lobby) were beautiful and decorated very nice. Only complaint was the sheets were super stiff and noisy.

Location good for Tempe. Close to airport. Whole Foods on site Hallways smell and facilities run down showing age. Tub drained poorly. Bed very firm not comfortable. TV is app based only, no cable TV

Our first room had water leaking in the kitchen, keys missing, smelt strongly of cigarettes and furniture covered in pet hair. The Sonder team helped us switch rooms which was great, and the second room was serviceable but not up to expectations. Some power points weren't functional, washing machine knobs broken, only one small rubbish bin for the entire apartment.

It was quiet and clean. The instructions were fool proof. N/A

Location. All the best bars and restaurants Whole Foods should be 24 hours they would make so much money

Great space and amenities! The room was a little stale but other than the slight smell everything was great !

Loved the furnishings and layout of the room. Amenities like the pool and grocery store near by were amazing. Bathroom had everything I hoped for. Closet had washing machine and dryer with pods to do a load. The bed itself was very comfortable mattress. Great pillows. The AC did not turn on. Barley a bit of air came on mid way during the night. The sheets were plastic-y feeling and very sweaty. Had trouble finding how to get the fob to get inside the building. Once I had the verification via the Sonder App it went much smoother.

Awesome place! It was even better than I expected! The spaces were large, the furniture felt brand new, the A/C worked perfectly and everything was absolutely beautiful. I could have stayed there forever! Nothing!

Great location, nice pool. Good amenities inside the room No staff on premises. Code didn't work to access room when we first got in. Had to sit outside the room for 30 min waiting to het resolved over the phone. The phone assistant was not very knowledgeable
