Need clean!!!

There was an ant infestation in my room. Didn’t realize it until in the morning. One night stay.
-
No complaints for the money, it's a good spot
-
it was nice and organized the charges

I stayed one night, the shower did not work. We could not take a shower. Horrible. I ask for a discount they offered me $8 value breakfast (that's was my actual breakfast bill). Unacpetable!

Guest rooms run down & look old. A/C leaking. No free breakfast
-
The amount you pay for the room , you should have a free breakfast instead of charging a fee for the breakfast. Plus the bathtub took forever to drain the water. Every hotel I have stayed at I either had a hot breakfast or continental.

First room we got had the worst mildew smell, we were able to change rooms and the second room was much better, we booked because of the “free trolly” to bush gardens, which they couldent use because there license wasn’t valid. Breakfast buffet was closed a hour early, and the bar was closed the second night we were there all day and night. Wasn’t what was advertised

The outside hotel looked nice and the hotel looked modern. It was close to the highway and close to USF. Bad things is the rooms need upgrades. First room I got fridge was leaking and had a puddle as soon as you walked in and the TV wouldn’t turn on. Got moved to another room which wasn’t that much better. Toilet can be heard running water all night and the shower head was all dirty with scum and rust. Cleaning staff vacuumed hallway at 7am on a weekend. Both Saturday and Sunday. Building had 1 elevator working for 6 floors. Other elevator was fixed but only worked from 2nd floor up to 6th floor.
-
didn’t like that was unable to get cook to order also bar was available but one day during a 3 night stay…
-
Hotel elevator was broken. Long waits to get to your rooms unless you could find the stairs.

First, the good news. This property is reasonably close (15-20 minutes) to the hospital and an easy drive. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful, and check-in was easy. We ate in the restaurant that evening and Melissa, our server, was excellent and very attentive. The menu is very limited, and we both opted for the Cheeseburger, which was extremely good and well presented. The chef, Nick, even stopped by to make sure everything was okay and see if he could help in any way. Any restaurant would be improved with presence of Melissa or Nick on their staff. Now, the room. We stayed in Room 616, an accessible suite with two queen beds (king bed unavailable). NO USB ports anywhere. Two paper cups in whole room. One night table with one lamp. Old carpet. Noisy. Window shades controlled by switches on different wall. AC controls on wall inoperative, must use controls on wall unit beneath window. Bugs. Wife bitten at least twice, leaving blood marks on sheets, and hardly slept. Strange insect flying around bathroom sink (now deceased). Shower floor grout dirty. Upon leaving in the early morning we advised the desk clerk of the bug problem, and said we would be cancelling the coming night's reservation. His only response was "I'm sorry". So were we.

The AC in the room could be cooler, but I understand they are making some remodeling around the place. The pool area should have better maintenance especially during season when many travelers coming in and out. Overall, I plan on staying again next month.
