Courtyard by Marriott Topeka

The rooms were in great condition. It was very comfortable.

The staff was courteous and friendly. The carpet in the common areas and the out side is in need of an upgrade. The famn in the room for the bathroom was a little loud.

Beautiful hotel..absolutely spotless! Lovely decor..and all staff were just outstanding! Enjoyed my stay!

Friendliness Had to pay for coffee, for 161.00 you thought coffee would be free.

The shower was ridiculous and there was water all over the floor the whole time we were there.

Wish the bistro bar was open longer in the morning.

Worst customer service ever No pool, expensive

Room was extremely noisy. I could hear the people above us walking all night so couldn’t sleep. Also, the AC unit had annoying rattling so that was also noisy.

The reason I picked this hotel was for the free breakfast but after arriving I was told that they did not have a free breakfast. It was not included in my stay.

The hotel decor was nice in the lobby & rooms but neither smelled fresh. Cigarette stale smell just not nice. It must have been designed by a man. Mood lighting is great at times but the lobby & rooms were dim. I could not understand why the lighting in the bathroom was soo bad even my husband complained. I had to take a chair & put it beside some night lighted mirror by the bed to try to apply my makeup. Sorry just a stressful situation. Change the mood lighting to real lights & it would upgrade your rooms considerably. P

Breakfast was less than average and very expensive for counter service. Don't call it granola if all you do is break up a commercial granola bar. Oatmeal was poorly cooked and unexplainably expensive. Shower, on the other hand, was outstanding, but hallway inside room is too narrow to bring the luggage cart in. Also lighting in bathroom and sleep area is very weak and not useful.

Staff was very friendly and professional. The property itself was older and smelled.musty. Also the lighting was not good. The rooms were dark, We checked out early. Plus, since we used the gift card, I received for my 30th work anniversary, we could not get a refund. Needless to say I was disappointed.
