Clean room, fantastic breakfast staff excellent

Took a long road trip from Texas up through Wyoming and Montana. This was by far the best accommodation and was a reasonable price.

This LQI is a standard mid range property. Easy peasy. It is pet friendly. Extra points for a hot breakfast.

Another disappointing experience happened a short time later when my husband was cut by a VERY sharp edge on one of the luggage carts. In an effort to help the hotel avoid any future problems with the cart - especially in the event of a child possibly getting hurt - he told the (same unhelpful) girls at the desk. (Who were NOT busy at any point of this experience.) I wish I could say I was surprised when we had to use the very same cart the next day and found ZERO had been done to improve the problem my husband reported. However, I am thrilled to report that my experience with the hotel staff the next morning in the breakfast area was superb. I arrived to grab a cup of juice and maybe a quick something with just a few minutes left of the allotted breakfast hours; and when I fully expected to get annoyed looks from the workers wanting to shut the area down and clean up (I certainly wouldn’t have blamed them!), I was received with genuine smiles and helpfulness. The young lady and gentleman working the area couldn’t have been kinder!!

Nice hotel! Easy access on/off the interstate and close to Wal-Mart. The rooms were quiet and the breakfast was delicious. I enjoyed the green chile that went on top of the eggs and breakfast potatoes. A great extra touch!

The breakfast was very nice, the staff friendly and helpful, and the high ceilings in the rooms and bathroom were so awesome!
-
Only issue is the tubs are slippery. Perhaps a mat or sand the bottom of the tub! Kind of important.

Beds were not that comfortable and a bit noisy

Great place to stay in Trinidad on your way to the mountains! Much nicer and less expensive than staying in Raton. Very nice hotel!

Great stay in Trinidad. Very nice La Quinta just south of downtown. Clean, comfortable, extremely dog friendly and beautiful mountain views from our room. We had a great breakfast with lots of options. Will stay here again when we're traveling through Colorado.

Enjoyed our stay. Great location

Got in late and Ken took care of us. He’s a great host and made us feel welcome immediately and even upgraded me and my 12 yr old daughter into a suite. Just stayed for a night, so we didn’t get to use all of the amenities. But the indoor pool looked clean and would have been great to use, as well as the fitness room. The free breakfast was great to have at the tail end of a two week road trip, and the suite was super comfy and cold like we like it during the summer. Would recommend.

Always stay there when traveling thru. Clean room, comfy bed, cold AC, good breakfast!!!

Clean room, clean breakfast, friendly staff

The front desk staff and food staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and beds comfortable. The problem came when we went to breakfast. There were several tables open inside and outside on the patio, but all were gross and dirty. The area where the food was was not clean. Crumbs everywhere and the whole thing was hard to navigate with how it was arranged. Most of the cooked items were at a counter you ordered at (still included and free, but you didn't get to make your own plate). The indoor swimming pool had chunks of hair floating around and some tiny pieces of trash floating. Much like other indoor hotel pools, the chlorine was was too strong and the steam in the room made it hard to breathe. Over all I would stay again, but the breakfast area and pool need to be cleaned.
