Someone was shouting in his room for like 2 hours. People smoking pot in the parking lot. Wouldn’t bring a family here.

They Clean only once every 14 days. Won’t have anyone change your sheets if/when it’s needed you have to take them to the front office to change them out or wash them yourself. The ones on the bed smelled upon arrival and so did the room. Wasn’t sure what to expect and definitely won’t stay again.

The manager Kaylee was insensitive and very inconsiderate. She took our money the last day we planned to stay there and failed to notify us that we would have to check out the next morning even though she knows that we had planned to stay there for a little while because my husband and I had no where to go. We were notified by the staff instead and even the staff was unprofessional with how they went about informing us. Never again!

Clean room

This is a basic hotel that does not really offer any amenities; i.e.; no breakfast, etc., but I knew that when I made the reservation. The hallways were somewhat dirty and the hallway carpet was worn, but my room was clean and comfortable and I had a peaceful nights sleep without noise problems from other guests. The location is excellent for doing things in Troy and Birmingham. Check in and check out was easy. Beyond that, I did not have any interaction with the hotel staff. I would stay here again.

Ice maker was broken and wouldn’t turn off. Had to unplug the fridge at night to sleep.

Quiet comfortable

Luckily I was not staying for an extended period of time because there were no pans to cook with. There was also no receptacle in the freezer to catch the ice.

Absolutely nothing The entire stay. The room was not clean. The floor hadn't been vacuumed. There were stains at the base of the toilet. The air vent in the bathroom was dirty with hair in it. The hall way and elevator were dirty. The room.that was supposed to.house the pantry was empty. This was our 1st time at a Simply Sonesta property and I.am pretty sure we will.not stay at anymore. The entire building needs to be remodeled. If pets are going to he allowed please thoroughly clean the rooms.

CONS: The hotel smelled very strongly of weed. It was OVERPOWERING throughout the entire building, day and night. The hallway carpets were very dirty and stained. The hotel was under construction. Men were working on the exterior, and this was not disclosed when I booked my room. All parking spots were roped off, and I had to park far away and carry my luggage all the way in. I went to my room and immediately noticed that the carpet did not look vacuumed, there were dark red stains on the floor by the bed, piles of something that looked like burnt candle wax and something brown splattered outside of the bathroom door. Bathroom and kitchen otherwise clean. Comforter on the bed smelled used, so I tossed it. In the a.m. the construction started at 6am. On a Friday morning. Is this legal? Men were on scaffolding right outside my window working on the brick. The noise was an issue; I had to work remotely while I was there, and it would have been nice to not be woken up at 6am to the sounds of construction and deal with the noise all day. I tried to get on the wi-fi and had to sign up for a Sonesta membership to access it. It still wouldn't work and I attempted to call the front desk and the phone didn't work. They said I had to come down. For the other day and a half, I was there, there was no one at the desk at all. The walls are very thin. I would NOT stay here again when traveling for work.

I had an OKAY stay… the elevator needed a good vacuum/sweeping. Every time I was in there it was really messy. During my 5 day stay, on day 3 I had a family with multiple children above me playing parkour it seemed… I didn’t complain or asking to move because it would’ve been a hassle. On day 4, I ended up waking up to movement near my window (I was on the 2nd floor btw). It was a construction worker hammering/drilling into the side of the building by my window. I didn’t have the privacy shade up and you could see through the wispy curtain… absolutely no one told me about this happening during my stay or near my room. If I would’ve known this I would have asked for a new room. They started work early… and especially as someone who was traveling with a huge time difference, I was VERY annoyed.

Horrible smelling, horrible customer service, I had panic attacks and no one helped me even when I called the front desk 7 times.
