Fairfield Inn Tuscaloosa by Marriott

iPhone iron my kids clothes, there was a strong smell of pee. Noticed that the iron was full of pee and it ruined my son’s clothes. When I told the staff they acted concerned, but did nothing to address the issue. Was told I would receive a call, but never did. I contacted the property manager. He answered but has yet to follow up with me.

Under major construction. Very noisy and dirty. TV was spotty basic cable. Breakfast was weird due to construction. Pool was closed due to construction. Market was bare bones due to construction. Not great.

My son has a visit to the college so I wanted something close to the university. So I picked this place. They didn’t have anything on their website about renovation. Rooms wasn’t clean at all. Toilet barely flushed. Toilet seat was loose. Had one bolt on it instead of 2. Breakfast wasn’t good.. customer service when I checked in she was nice. The lady the next morning wasn’t so polite. WiFi didn’t work… we won’t be back..

The hotel was conveniently located a few miles from UA. It was undergoing construction at the time of our stay but the staff was very friendly and extremely helpful in allowing me to check-in early.

When we arrived, we found the font lobby and dinning areas under construction. It was a horrible mess. We asked why we were not told about the construction before we made reservations and the employee told us they have tried to get it listed many times and have not received any help. We would not have stayed there had we known ahead of time!! Very disappointed in the hotel and in Hotels.com

Cleanliness and location Renovations

Unfortunately the hotel is under major construction which it was just a quick overnight stay. The front desk was a mess and it took 30 minutes to get checked in, I was treated like it was my fault for using an app to reserve the room (she forgot her logins). There was no working ice machine, a few dead bugs in the bathroom, and the continental breakfast had fruit flies. I honestly would have left if not for exhaustion from driving and having pre-payed the room.

Hade a great stay! Would stay again if needed to.

This property was undergoing significant renovation /construction : the exterior wall of the lobby was removed and comprised of one table and a row of chairs against one side and the public hall and elevator floor had construction debris. There was no memtion on Expedia of any sub-standard condition at time of booking.

Everything was great except a big ant issue in our first floor room.

I rate everything pos. We had an extremely long check in, someone entered the room when we were in the room. The drawers were falling off furniture. The bathtub was a nice gray color when it should be white. The rooms smelled musty as well. Breakfast was the only thing I felt was good.

The biscuits and gravy could be better. Buscuits tasted 3 days old and wet

The ft desk and food makers for breakfast was the best ever . Very friendly will come stay again
