Fairfield Inn Tuscaloosa by Marriott

Staff was friendly. Game weekend so very busy. Room was clean and had expected amenities. Toilet was slow when flushed causing a smell, but otherwise good stay.

Yeah, no, handicap, shower seat. And the shower flooded the floor.

It was in construction therefore the common area was pretty filthy. The breakfast ran out and no one was refilling it on both days. My shampoo and body wash was completely out.

The property on 8-2-26 was under construction. So, the outside was a little messy. Our room was one of the updated ones, it was small, but nice. I think it should advertise that the hotel is under construction.

I left. Room was assigned poorly cleaned and staff couldn’t change room due to system down. Did not stay

Staff was amazing and went above and beyond for us. Thank you to the staff. Building is under renovation right now so there is the associated mess with that kind of work, but they are doing a great job keeping it contained to the area of work except for the stairways. Pool was closed, but that seems to be a common theme at a lot of the hotels I stay at. Not a deal breaker for me. Beds were comfortable and the room was clean. Good place to stay for the price.

Under renovation and the room I had looks like it may and may not been the reason I say that is the room I had was half done new furniture but old pictures on the wall and bathroom half done rust and spots in the tub but hotel is is a good location and hopefully it will be better after renovation just not the fairfield inn im use to staying

iPhone iron my kids clothes, there was a strong smell of pee. Noticed that the iron was full of pee and it ruined my son’s clothes. When I told the staff they acted concerned, but did nothing to address the issue. Was told I would receive a call, but never did. I contacted the property manager. He answered but has yet to follow up with me.

Under major construction. Very noisy and dirty. TV was spotty basic cable. Breakfast was weird due to construction. Pool was closed due to construction. Market was bare bones due to construction. Not great.

My son has a visit to the college so I wanted something close to the university. So I picked this place. They didn’t have anything on their website about renovation. Rooms wasn’t clean at all. Toilet barely flushed. Toilet seat was loose. Had one bolt on it instead of 2. Breakfast wasn’t good.. customer service when I checked in she was nice. The lady the next morning wasn’t so polite. WiFi didn’t work… we won’t be back..

Absolutely nothing This place is under renovation and it’s noisy and smelly. I have asthma and we barely had any supplies

The hotel was conveniently located a few miles from UA. It was undergoing construction at the time of our stay but the staff was very friendly and extremely helpful in allowing me to check-in early.
