Great stay and food was amazing including the breakfast. Staff was very attentive and I would definately stay again. Btw they have a really cool outdoor firepit.

When we are in the Des Moines area we always stay at The Revel. It is clean, comfortable beds and quiet. The bar area is really nice and convenient whether you're having a quick drink before going out or sitting on the patio with the gas fireplace for a night cap. Checkin was super easy and quick. All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Overall, a decent stay. Word of warning, if booking on Hotels.com, do not select to pay extra for the breakfast! I paid ahead $40 extra for breakfast for four people, only to find out at the hotel that breakfast is free no matter what, and no matter who you book through. Front desk said I needed to take it up with Hotels.com to fix. I contacted Hotels.com customer service and due to the breakfast fee not being itemized, and it being rolled into my overall fee, they said they couldn't do anything about it. They stated Hilton wants them to add the breakfast fee option to cover those booking 3rd party. Basically, got the run around from both institutions. Best reconciliation I got was some OneKey Cash for a future stay, and it wasn't even the full $40. I felt scammed. Also, I need to read the fine print closer, it says "pool available". There is no pool there, but you can walk next door and use the pool at the hotel next store. Not end of the world but was a surprise to us. We also had a leaking toilet in the first room, moved to a second room and sink was very slow to drain. At that point I didn't want to move rooms again so let the front desk know for when we checked out. I can't say confidently that I'd stay at this hotel again. Overall okay, nice decor, decent continental breakfast (not worth the fee I had to pay though), thankful there was a pool option at least and rooms looked nice and beds were comfy. Maintenance staff was very nice as well.

The food was very good.

The traffic near the hotel was crazy, as usual road construction, weaving thru a restaurant parking lot to get the hotel was weird; literally took 12 minutes before someone greeted us (another traveler and myself) and check us in, it was 4:16 PM, so nobody near from the front desk. The Machine Shed restaurant within walking distance, was great food, and incredible staff.

Everything wo None

Breakfast also was excellent. The only downside is the showwe which offers absolutely no privacy, so you better have a good relationship with your roommate 😄

Clean and modern lines, quiet rooms and a very good food options on site in the bar/restaurant made this a convenient and refreshing stop in our journey.

This is a lovely hotel with wonderful staff. The staff was very nice and the check-in was perfect and pleasant. It is very clean and nicely decorated. It is tucked away in a hillside by the Interstate but you don't hear the noise of traffic. The location is perfect. Unfortunately, there is one bad thing about the room we stayed in, Room 351. My husband is nearly completely deaf and had no problem sleeping when he took out his hearing aids. He slept soundly. However, I have perfect hearing and I could hear and feel the air handlers on the roof all night long. It was like being at stoplight with a car next to me blaring their bass so loud that it vibrates my car. We would definitely stay here again but never stay in that room again.

Great hotel! Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Staff was great. And, big plus was the food in the lounge - exceptional dinner - fresh salad, well cooked entrees. We were delighted. Thanks!

Clean modern room, looked updated. Not like an old drab hotel. Friendly front staff. Got to check in 3 hours early! Allowed our pizza delivery person to bring our food right to our room. "Complimentary breakfast" but the waffles costed extra. I dont know if this is the new norm, but i wasnt expecting it. Fridge didnt seem to be cold at all but was definitely running. Glad we had a cooler with us. TV didnt seem to have any option to connect to a streaming service, just cable. Housekeeping knocked on our door at 9 am, wanted to come and clean when we weren't required to check out until 11. I told her we were packing up, she motioned for us to wrap it up. We dont go out much, i dont know if this is a typical practice..

We stayed a Saturday night at Revel. Our room faced the interstate and the soundproofing from the road noise was very good. The breakfast which was included with our room was good. The coffee was made using beans from Friedrich Coffee per the signage which is locally sourced.
