Nothing, the place was a dump! The tv didn't work and apparently had no intention of fixing. Told me the whole hotel's TV's were down which was a lie. Key card didn't work, twice, even after the 'reprogrammed it'. There were thousands of finger prints on the inside of the elevator door, because the door doesn't always close and you have e to manually push it closed. It was extremely damp in the room, even the sheets felt wet. The bed was horrible and lumpy. It was the worst experience I've ever had! I had reservations for 2 nights but didn't stay the 2nd night because the place was so bad!!!! DON'T STAY THERE!!!!

Great price. Clean and quiet.. Could have more in breakfast table

Nothing I like The receptionist was HORRIBLE! 50.00 deposit never have heard of that! Every other hotel I stay at, Never pay a Deposit. I never will stay at a Days Inn again. Very Bad Experience!

I rented several rooms for out of town family, visiting for my daughter’s wedding. The staff was so helpful! The gentleman who checked us in took time to let everyone be on the same floor and in the same general vicinity. The stay was just about the only thing that went off without a hitch.

Our room was VERY clean and that’s the most important part. The building itself needs lots of work. Breakfast was very limited, only waffles and cereal. No fruit, juice, yogurt, etc.

The property is older, so it’s not perfect, but it has a certain character and charm to it. The room was clean, the hotel was quiet, and it was a good value for the price. Overall, it was a comfortable and pleasant stay, and I would stay here again.

I liked that they let me wait in the lobby for a few hours where I could get some work done prior to check in. I didn't like that my sheets both top and bottom, were covered in hair, stains, black specs, dirty feet marks, urine and blood stains and what looked like lubricant. Once I saw that, (about 1 hour after check in) I informed the front desk and tried to show them my video and pictures which they refused to look at. They came to my room and looked and offered to change the sheets. Obviously I didn't feel comfortable staying there as it didn't feel sanitary and I was afraid of contracting something so I told them that I would appreciate a refund so I could leave. He told me they only offer refunds within the first 40 minutes of check in. He argued very unprofessionally with me and said, "What did you expect? This is a 2 star hotel." Well, I expect clean sheets for one! The manager got the owner on the phone and not only did he refuse a refund, but he refused to even talk with me after multiple requests. Additionally, there were numerous small flying insects in the room and I believe they were coming from the drains in the bathroom. It smelled moldy in there. I will be contacting DIAL as well as the BBB (should have looked here first as they have an F rating). Iowa administrative code 481-37.1 requires hotels to keep pests out of hotel indoor areas. section 37.3 separately requires clean bedding and specifically requires clean sheets and pillowcases for each guest. (Iowa General Assembly) I am not a high maintenance person, I just wanted a clean place to sleep.

Old and outdated. A little out of repair. But you get what you pay for. It's cheap!

1. Coffee in the morning was good. 2. Relatievely quiet, we were not disturbed while we were in the room, and got a good night's sleep throughout the stay. 3. Around 15-20 minutes from downtown des moines. 1. The room we reserved had been given to someone else, so we had to stay in a room with a different bed configuration than the one we reserved - queen vs king. In spite of the downgrade, they insisted on charging us the same amount for the room. 2. The TV didn't work during the entirety of the stay. On the first night while we were out on the town, I called the front desk to see if they could fix it. The attendant who answered the phone offered a few potential solutions and said he would come by our room when we got back to the hotel to try to fix it. When we got back to the hotel, we talked to the person at the front desk about it to see if he could come by, but he said that none of the TVs in the hotel had worked for two weeks and there was nothing he could do... contradicting info and sounds a little fishy. All the TVs in an entire hotel don't work for weeks with no posted communication about it to the guests? Idk. 4. The hallway outside our room smelled strongly of urine throughout the stay. 5. Shower worked sporadically. You could only do very hot or very cold with no in between. Both me and the person I was staying with experienced the same thing. Maybe it was an issue with how we were using it, but we couldn't figure it out. 6. We did breakfast both days around 8am and at that time there was cereal but no milk available. The only other breakfast option was a waffle with butter.

The sheets were stained, employees outside on bottom level drinking, smoking weed and having a party. TV did not work, room overall was very dated and dirty.
-
This hotel has bugs and no pool
-
The breakfast was not very good. The waffle mix was too thin. Very few options to choose from. Very disappointing compared to the breakfast we had at a days inn in Hannibal, Missouri.
