Very comfortable mattress

The property looked gorgeous in pictures. But fire pit was blocked off and un usable, hot tub was broke and couldn't be used, fan in bathroom was extremely loud, went to check in and no one was around. Waited for 15 min before someone finally arrived at desk. Breakfast gets cleaned up right away. So dont be 1 minute late. She picked it up as we were trying to get food. Definitely not worth the money.

The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly. Would have gotten a 5 star rating but the hot tub and fire pitt were both being worked on so we couldn’t use them which was a bummer. Also wish the breakfast went a little later than 9:30am since we got in kind of late the first night. Other than that everything was good.

The breakfast was good. Lots of choices for an included breakfast. The home made biscuits and gravy is something most other hotel don’t have as a breakfast choice. The room was a little rustic and old. I know that was the style but needed some updates.

Breakfast buffet was amazing BUT the highlight was the front desk staff at check-in.

This is by far our favorite place to stay when we are in Des Moines! They have never let us down in all the years we have been there, and that says a lot!

Staff was friendly and helpful. The accommodations overall met my expectations in terms of cleanliness and comfort. The decor was a fun lodge-theme, a nice change from the standard travel hotels. It's a very family-friendly option for travel. The location was right off the highway with easy access to other travel accommodations (e.g., restaurants, gas, etc.). We were unexpectedly upgraded to a suite, and while it was a nice surprise, the shower did not drain properly and it was noisy because it was close to the hotel facilities (maybe the electrical room, laundry, or pool pumps?). The breakfast was pretty good but I wish there were more protein options and more overall healthy options (e.g., yogurt without sugar) as the options were overwhelmingly carb and sugar based.

The Wildwood never disappoints! The staff is so friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean and the breakfast is delicious!

Clean and well maintained hotel. Loved our stay. I was a little disappointed because the hot tub was broke and they upgraded my room to one with a hot tub without me even asking. We had just gone to the World Cup in Kansas City the day before and I really needed a hot tub. Thank you so much. It was greatly appreciated.

It was quite dated. But the staff was nice and it was in a good location

Front desk staff was amazing. The place was spotless and the price was awesome for how nice it was. We were riding back from Sturgis heading back home to Cincinnati and just needed a place to sleep for the night. This place is awesome. If I’m ever back in that area I’ll 100% stay there again.

Hotel had HS track teams but there was still plenty of breakfast food available

Loved this place. So glad we found the listing on Expedia. This place is a gem. Clean, comfortable, friendly staff. Close to highway, food and gas. The decor is wonderful. You feel like you are in a real lodge!! Breakfast was excellent too!! The lobby is amazing. Great price too!! Thanks so much!!

Staff very friendly. We couldn’t use the hot tub; it was broke. The room needs to be updated. It looked like a dog had scratched up the bathroom door very badly and the wallpaper looked dirty. There was no meat for breakfast, but the food was always stocked up

Convenient. Clean. Lots of eating choices nearby. Will stay again.
