The staff was very nice, but we found a dead cockroach in our room. When we moved the furniture to check for more and bc we were freaking out we found another dead one in the bathroom and food and wrappers behind all the furniture. More attention to housekeeping is needed. Thank god the roaches were dead so they must be doing something to abate them. They did offer to change our room but we had already psychotically cleaned the room and moved checked everywhere and didn’t want to do that again so we slept with the lights on and dealt with it.

Nice pool, but the hot tub jets were not working. All in all a good stay.

We loved the ease of checking in since we prepaid for our stay on hotels.com and the ease of checking out by just dropping off our room key at the front desk. From the moment you check in, the staff is always friendly and welcoming. As for the breakfast, we enjoyed the food every day! Dishes were always prepared the same day so everything was fresh! My grandkids especially loved the cereal options and the bagels. Food was always delicious and the menu was changed from day to day. Personally I loved the biscuits and gravy! Because this was a short trip for us again, we really weren’t able to enjoy all the amenities like the fitness center and the indoor pool, but it is nice knowing those amenities were available on the property. Overall, we had an excellent stay at the Vacaville Holiday Inn Express!
