When looking for places to stay for an overnight trip from Kentucky I was hoping to find a motel near the beach that had the basic necessities for any type of trip we were having. Looked at the little boutiques closer to the beach and those were not only a little pricey for not even having breakfast available but also they only allowed stays if it was 2 nights or more. What happened to just accommodating overnight stays!? Anyways I decided that since I had a car I could afford to just go inland a little bit more. I found this spot for $69~ and to be quite honest I barely even looked at the pictures before I sent book a few days before our trip. When we arrived around 1pm after leaving from our halfway point at 6am, we decided to just go check it out at least since check-in technically wasn’t until 3pm. We got to the motel and it was super cute I absolutely loved the layout of it and it didn’t look sketchy at all. There was two families there that were in the parking lot and another man getting ice so it felt very family friendly and casual! I went into the office and asked if it’s possible we could check in now and they said yes! Thank god cause I was super tired and just wanted to shower and lay in a bed. We did call earlier but there was no answer but it ended up being fine cause the worst they could’ve said was no . We got the key to our hotel which I also loved because it was an actual key with a keychain on it and not those electronic keycards that can get demagnetized. It felt so 90s I absolutely adored it. Then we got into our room and it was a comfortable temp with the fan on but once we turned that AC on it was like the arctic hahaha which I preferred over the 95° weather outside in the July sun. The bed was nicely made, no bedbugs, did our normal safety and security checks (I work in security and have a degree in it so I take it pretty seriously). All was good and every machine worked how it was supposed to!! I would stay here again! Nada, I loved it. The lady that was cleaning and took my key for me was also very lovely!

Really nice little place to stay. The staff was extremely nice. Well worth the money as well as a great location to downtown Venice.
-
Shower was really small, bathroom was really small

not good. There was another person in the lobby complaining about cockroaches in his room and the staff was offering to cancel his reservation for a $79 fee.. I never saw bugs in either of the rooms we had been assigned. We won’t be back.

The shower had only hot water

front office smelled terrible like a DB or something, rooms claimed to be recently renovated but clearly hadnt been in years! they gave us 2 towels and 2 wash cloths for 3 adults for 4 nights and would not give us more! shower barely worked, water did not get warm and barely even came out like the water pressure was non existent! the pool was the best part about the stay and that is not saying much considering it isnt even 5ft deep and we were asked to get out of it 2 nights in a row before it was even dark outside! also our room key did not lock our door so we could not leave anything behind anytime we left, i will never stay here again and honestly the whole area in general was just bad/sketchy.

Location location location The staff would enter our room before 11am without permission to see if we were staying. We were also accused of stealing a mattress cover. Ugh.!!
