My room was clean, comfortable, and the perfect size for me to decompress over the holiday weekend. Every staff member I spoke to was kind and helpful - like when my key cards would not work and needed to be replaced! I took advantage of the continental breakfast, especially the waffle maker :) The hotel was easy to get to from the train station, and centrally located between downtown and the beach.

The WiFi was strong, good connection! Clean rooms and comfortable bed. Easy check in and check out process. Bonus check out was at 12, and not 11.

Accessible to all the cool places in Ventura like Transmission Brewing and Toppers Pizza, San Buenaventura State Beach Park, Mission San Buenaventura just to name a few.

The inside was better than the outside - looking wise. Counters had caked sticky stuff and clear plastic wrappers on another counter. Refrigerator had some colored stains as well. I had to clean everything. Beds were uncomfortable - all of us in the room had a tough night of limited sleep - tossing and turning. Maybe it's the lumpy hot pillows. In the days of everything costing more than a few years ago, I don’t think it’s too much to ask for clean space to put your head down for a night. And for considerate customer service - kinda grumpy people. Also, there was no hand soap.

Close to town, walkable. Rooms were nice and clean. Not all staff were accommodating or welcoming , but Joseph was very nice. We had 8 guests and they had issues with Staff being accessible. Be aware there is a 25 dollar fee to check in early or stay later. This was not clear on this website. Hot water was not functioning properly in several rooms.

The location is excellent, great access to parks and beaches weather walking or driving. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. The breakfast is excellent and a highlight to the start of each day!

Room was nice as was the bathroom. Liked the mini split a/c. Did not like the fact that there is no elevator. A staff member helped take our things upstairs which was appreciated. I have to say I felt so-so when I drove up and actually saw the hotel (it reminded me of a Motel 6 or something), but the inside exceeded my expectations! Very nice and clean. Mini fridge, hair dryer, TV. We had an upstairs room with an additional back window that gave a view of the Ventura Pier which was nice.... Note: railroad tracks are right behind the hotel as well. The complimentary breakfast is the usual fare- eggs, sausage, muffins, toast, waffles, fruit, etc. Really close to the walking bridge to cross the freeway over to the Pier/beach! NO microwave in the room. I would have given the hotel an overall rating of 10, but for a couple disturbing instances. 3 separate times we heard someone trying to open our door with a key card. First was a couple who were apologetic when I opened the window to question them (it must have been a front office error). The next morning we heard it again. I peeked out and saw a women trying the door. She walked away, and I proceeded to watch her walk all the way out of the facility (not to the office!). The last time was one of the cleaning staff. Although communication was difficult due to language barrier, she basically said the office asked her to see if her key worked (which it didn't). Something really weird going on there..... I reported it to the front desk, but not sure if that went anywhere.

The location is ideal. Property is beautiful! Staff is so kind and friendly. We definitely come back!!👍
