Crowne Plaza Ventura Beach by IHG

I chose an ocean side view for a few more dollars but I only got a sliver tiny and obstructed view of the ocean and got the furthest room near the road. The highway was too loud and kept me up at night and the train is pretty loud when it is running through. The room is decent. Beds are comfortable. Bathroom is small. The hooks don’t hold the towels and am not sure what they’re meant to do. I think the highlight of this experience is the amenities (nice gym pool and free coffee) and how close it is to the beach.

Staff and property were great…..but I’ve noticed that bookings thru 3rd party vendors don’t get the respect of the properties involved…always a problem at the front desk about the type of room that’s available …properties tend to want to put you anywhere…and if you don’t stand your ground especially for the rate you’re paying you won’t get the same treatment that ppl who booked directly

This place is very loud from the freeway traffic and a train that honks every time it goes by. Otherwise it’s okay

The hotel had great views and a great location It was an easy walk to the stories on Main Street and there are many restaurants nearby.

The location and staff are amazing. The room was very clean, but the property could use some TLC. The hallways, carpet and exterior seating areas need to be cleaned and power washed.

The entire property is amazing. I love to come to Ventura and stay at this hotel. I love the sunset view from the room. ❤️❤️❤️

_____ I was charged although I canceled room before deadline. Managers never called me back, I tried to dispute it and Crown Plaza would not approve when Booking.com put in request. They just keep passing the problem to crown and viceversa. Getting charged. I've spent HOURS trying to resolve this issue.

Stay with family was awesome and the front desk staff was great. However, the in room dining was horrible. They took my order to the wrong room, unapologetically they gave us the salad we ordered, not fresh and over an hour later. Next, my bill had additional in room dining charges. I showed my receipt and on the bill it showed the incorrect room so they removed the charges but apprehensively. That put a damper on my stay because it ruined the vibe. Overall for this stay 3.8.

Staff very helpful and very clean rooms, right on the beach, beautiful.

We were there on a Saturday and they had live music in the restaurant and pool area. It was really loud and the pool area was very crowded. I tried to order room service and it went to voicemail, so called the front desk to ask about it. They said they would have room service call us, but they never did. The hotel is right next to the beach and has partial ocean views. It is also right next the freeway and trains that go by frequently, so you can’t sit on the balcony and listen to the waves because you can’t hear them.
