To be honest I usually have an decent enough experience. Very affordable but basic. This last time, not so much. I was in bed and about to turn the light off when a roach crawled across my pillow. I went to the desk and told them I would be sleeping in my car till the room was sprayed. They moved me to another room, but it stuck with me, (creepy, crawly PTSD). Not sure I can ever go back.

Ive never stayed in a motel so perhaps this is common. But I was checked in by a person on a screen. I hate when customer service is outsourced to other countries. The room was fine actually... Until I realized the next morning that you could hear every step and sneeze from the rooms around you. I would have slept better on my friends couch honestly.

When we got to our room, it had two twin beds. One looked like there had been a party on it just before we got there. Although we booked a non-smoking room, this room reeked of cigarettes. We went down to change rooms and had basically the same problem with the second room. It stunk of ammonia and cigarette's. Stay away!

I will say the hot tub felt warm but it closed at 930 so there was that if you like hot tubs.

Room was clean and perfect for us and our two fur babies. It is right off the freeway but the noise is not an issue. Great place.

Fine for a pit stop. Room could do with better maintenance and the area is not located very close to any amenities. Parking is easy.

If you are a construction or maintenance worker in town for a few days and just need a place to sleep? Maybe? I'm guessing it's called Motel 6 because it has 2 beds, a small fridge that freezes everything, a phone, a tv with limited access, and a bathroom. 6 things in our room. Ice machine, broken. Looks like it's been down for weeks. No cleaning service for extended days unless you explicitly ask for it. Room smelt like they just ran a chlorine bath when we walked in, and stayed for the better part of a few days. If you have to stay here? Ask for a room that doesn't face Johnson Dr. Check out was amazing. Had to ask them how it worked as there are no directions for anything anywhere. There is a QR code that takes you to a page on your phone. But it has little to no information that matters. You walk in the office. They ask if you are checking out. You say yes. They say ok. No direction on what to do with the keys. No other comments or questions. Didn't ask what room it was for. Nothing. Dropped the keys and walked out. Never again!

Great location, especially for Ventura Harbor. Right off the 101 and next to Oxnard and lots of shopping. Room was very quiet and clean. Staff was very friendly and polite. Definitely would stay there again.

Comfortable

Spacious room. But TV control didn't work even after getting new batteries, had to climb on a chair to access the A/C unit, and the ice machine was broken. We managed, but it was not as great of an experience as in the past.

The room we got, even though it said “no smoking” reeked like cigarette smoke.
-
Nice place clean with friendly staff
-
Not much in the way of streaming services. Also, no drawers.

It was great, thank you!
-
Bed bugs, presents place was dirty. My crew all were bitten up.
-
Only one small towel provided in our room. The surrounding area sketchy with homeless all around. Just lock your car when parked

Stay was good, it was safe and quiet even though we were very close to the freeway, staff was friendly and helpful. We had to bring our little dog and there was a little dog park which was nice. Room was clean and comfortable for our 2 day stay. Location was great, just a few minute drive for food and grocery stores. Everything you could need in the area

I have stayed at a lot of Motel 6's and this was by far, the worst one ever. Terrible beds, rooms dirty, and it was more like a homeless shelter than a hotel. Do yourself a favor and go up the road a few miles to the other Motel 6 if you must stay at a motel 6.

The room is bare bones for sure. Some one was playing music much of the night with no staff trying to assist with it. Asked for a receipt to be emailed to me upon check out, never received it.
